So here's a suggestion: let's send a few of these tough-talking Canadian conservatives over to Denmark, shall we? It'll be an adventure! We'll send them right into action, on a busy intersection in one of the afflicted parts of Copenhagen. We can get National Post contributor Kathy Shaidle to tell them their children are "parasites" - and fellow Post contributor "Kate Hate" MacMillan can tell them how they are "Muslim shit-heads."
Former Postie Mark Steyn can then scream at them to stop making babies, because they are destroying European culture - and then Post opinion editor Jon Kay can tell them their brains are full of "toxins," and they should all just accept their prophet being depicted as a terrorist, because it's a valuable contribution to the marketplace of ideas.That's my suggestion. If anyone else has a better idea, they can ring me down at the travel agent, where I'll be picking up four one-way tickets to Denmark.
Hmmm Warren here's a better idea. Step back from the keyboard. Take deep breathes. Lay down. Consult a physician. To be honest this is starting to look worrisome.

You know there is truth to what you say RG.
While we do need to pay witness to what happens when the dominant ideology no longer is much in touch with the world, when a world view falls apart, it's a very traumatic thing, no doubt especially for a political hack with a family to support. I went through some such humiliation once, kind of willed it upon myself as i was young and still open, and while I know the other Gnostic intellectuals (as Eric Voegelin labeled my former kind), eventually have to go through it too, if they are to grasp existential and symbolic truths in clearer light, I wouldn't exactly wish it on them. But, in general, they are a very serious danger to Western civilization, so shutting up about them isn't entirely an option either...
It wouldn't be nearly so grating if he didn't wrap up all his posturing and ranting in the framework of a Catholic on his Lenten journey of penance.
As a Catholic, I find it...what's the word?...offensive.
And, more to the point, hypocritical...for him to wrap himself in the Catholic mantle, but to forget the lesson that he ought not to wear his suffering for all to see.
Mind you, isn't he an abortion rights supporter? If so, he's only pretending to be Catholic...but why quibble?
Guys, in defence of Warren...yes, he's in a bad place right now. As another Catholic, maybe we should just give him some space? His Dad's birthday just passed, he's out of a job at the NP, he blogs so much he's not billing clients, etc.
So here's a true Lenten idea - lay off him. And, dare I say it? Our Christian duty is to pray for him and his family.
Our turn in adversity will come along soon enough.
BCF: I had a deliciously evil retort comment ready to go with a further suggestion as to what Lucy Kinsella (the red Dhimmi) could do to gratify the Chauvinist brotherhood if Islam from rioting, but it just didn't seem Kosher to mock a man this mentally despondent.
Poor Lucy Hutz Kinsella...beaten up by girl bloggers, out classed by better conservative civil action lawyers, rejected by the legitimate media as a fibber, Mocked and cajoled as a political pariah...even in his own party.
...Wornout K Hutz has had a very bad month and is lashing out at his tormentors and playing kissy-face with the only demographic left who do not yet take him as a bad, over-ripe, joke....the foamy-mouthed Islamic fanatics.
Heading down that path will soon queer his relationship with the CJC Zionists...then it will be rock bottom....of course he'll be blogging all the way through his descent into delirium ...his realities may be warped but his ego is still wanking away strong.
I wish I could say this is a sad end to a once great man but that wouldn't be true..it's a well deserved, self inflicted excommunication from real world politics and society...and a self directed journey into destructive denial psychosis.
Here in the good old USA we have free speech but also some laws that let the Government see and hear about everything your say or write. One of those laws "sun setted" and now they only get to listen to the really juicy messages. Oh Well, us old guys don't say anything worth getting you panties all bunched up. I still think it is a shame that 5 feet of fury doesn't allow comments on her blog. Isn't that a restriction of free speech and what she is against? MUD

In Canada we don't need a law, the government does it anyway and has been for over a decade...read the "CSIS chronicles" or "Covert Entry"...as early as 1987 they had the U of C Cray computer appropriated out to run keyword filtering on all the random personal electronic messages they had intercepted from commercial telecoms in a day....no law needed...no warrants....no real constitution to breech...just business as usual in the great white soviet.
Perhaps I should rewrite his post to better suit my opinions, he's been posting quotes out of context as if it were fACT tisk tisk Warren that's not acceptable and you as a lawyer are aware of that fact. Taking four or five words out of a paragraph and using those words to mount a smear campaign isn't ethical and you know it. Tisk tisk, I smell rubber burning.

I still reserve the right to make corrective commentary if in fact Mr. Kinsella suggests something, in a future blog post, which is horribly in error.
Because it's not a particularly Catholic thing to do to let someone stay mired down in his lies.
