Reactions from the Peta crowd to the fatal accident that claimed the lives of 4 sealers. From each nary a word of sympathy for the men or their aggrieved families.
An Anglican Priestess - Perhaps what legislative diplomacy could not accomplish, Mother Nature will. Let us pray for an end to human vanity and an increase in respect for God's creatures. Anybody have a collect for unseasonable weather?
On loving animals - I'd say that God himself has come down on the side of the seals.
Earthfirst - Dastardly seal hunters die...
Divorced from humanity.

If I understand correctly, the accident that claimed the lives of the sealers had nothing to do with the commercial seal hunt. Their boat was overturned while being towed by a Coast Guard vessel. They were nowhere near any seals. The animal rights fanatics are gloating over this nevertheless. Some people have no shame.
The bunny pumpers are becoming really creepy with this pseudo religious dogmatism...really creepy...what's next worshipping a cat goddess?
I am taking my dog Maggie to the veterinary clinic later this week for her annual examination and vaccinations. It always strikes me as bizarre that the staff at the clinic refer to me as Maggie's "daddy." I am not her daddy. I am her master and her owner. She is my property. Maggie gets the best of care. In fact my daily life revolves around her care, but the fact remains she is a dog and will never be anything but a dog.
Maggie is a working hunting dog. I take her hunting for gamebirds. She is a Brittany. She points and retrieves the birds for me. She is doing what God intended. She does not stop to think about things such as the supposed rights of the gamebirds we hunt. She cannot resist the thrill of a good rabbit chase on occasion too. I remember catching hell from a pair of ninnies once when Maggie was off on a rabbit chase. The ninnies complained that she was "terrorizing the wildlife." I told them she was just being a dog and to piss off. I am a hunter and make no apologies for it. I suppose you could say that I am pro-chase.
"Just being a dog" yup that sums it. The Peta types can't accept that. A rat is a pig is a dog is a boy. Amazing that God is invoked by 2 of them and I am certain others as well. Paganism, Gaia worship and now the Anglican church sheesh.
