Winnipeg Free Press, Bob Cox - Rights Commission Wrong
What would happen if a person charged with murder ended up before a tax court judge?
No doubt it would have many repercussions -- a review of how prisoners are handled in the court house, most likely, and certainly the accused would be sent back to await trial before a criminal court.
It is unlikely that the judge would issue a ruling saying: "I have not heard any evidence, but the accused sure looks guilty -- and there are a lot of other killers out there just like him."
But that is just what happened this week in Ontario.
The rest.
With its bizarre "Guilty cause I said so" pronouncement on the Steyn ruling, the Ontario Human Rights Commission publicly proved this week that it is not an agency concerned with human rights but rather that it is a radically politicized, ideologically driven cess-pool concerned only with power.
Like the environmental movement, the HRC's have become a haven for the fever-swamp leftists set adrift by the collapse of communism. To get a glimpse of the future that our HRC's wish for look no further than the Mothership of all Human Rights Madness - The U.N. Canada is a signatory to the ICESCR (International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights). From this monster our HRC's receive their marching orders.
The HRC's aided by their fellow travellers the NGO's are working furtively behind the scenes to implement social engineering scams that spell ruin for Canada. Witness the CHRC's renewed attempt to add "Social Condition" as a prohibited ground of discrimination. The initial effort met with failure but that hasn't stopped our unelected, unaccountable Human Rights Hucksters from wishing once again to elevate "equality of outcome" above common sense.
Despite dissenting opinion to the contrary it was thought that Section 13 (1), Canada's 1st thought crime law, would never be abused by our benevolent overlords in the HRC's. The continuing expose of the rank corruption that ensued at the CHRC by its abuse of Section 13(1) has at least served as a call to arms for previously complacent citizens.
The HRC's are concerned with one thing Power. The power to advance a socialist agenda under the radar of Canadians, the power to subvert our democratically elected parliament, the power to abuse the rule of law as they see fit. The power to censor opinion.

Excellent link and article.
Consider it sent on to the the PM.
The press "gets it", the litterati "get it"
It seems all that still wallow in this adoration of velvet-glove fascism is the vacant left.
Yes WLMR that's because they are the Ones who hope to be the HRC Overlords.
Well said. The Soviet tyranny and its collapse put the lie to the Utopian dream, but it's just not easy for many people to get rid of the Utopian dream and respect reality.
They should bloody well stop the utopian wet dream when part of it is the political systemic administrative oppression of dissenting voices to the leftist utopian order.
Next stop will be rather nasty civil counter measure
I wonder if the time is coming when we will have to consider insurrection.
It's really a global civil war, it's already under way, it will last a long time, but most of the fighting will not be open hot war. The American tanks are still on our side, so our enemy won't often come out and fight openly. So for us, it's likely to be an ongoing campaign of making and supporting icons of freedom and pursuing, Ezra-like, denormalization against the institutionalized evil doers (we'll know we are really in full scale war when the university professors start fearing the resentment and hatred they presently teach; when no one will meet with or interview the likes of Elmasry), and fighting for positions and people with power who are willing to hear the truth that always comes with freedom. We don't need open warfare. Any time we can get a large number of people to stand up and say no, consistently, with commitment, the other side will eventually crumble. They can't throw us all in jail. All we will need, most of the time, is effective civil disobedience.
The new truth always comes before the world is ready for it. The old forms of the sacred must always be smashed by the new truth. While there have been many steps backward, history has been an ongoing expansion of a shared human freedom/responsibility. We will win.
I pray you are right.
