Sarnia hates the CHRC too...

Harry Deboer - Letter to the editor - Sarnia Observer: Freedoms being chipped away

Sir: Many Canadians are probably unaware that slowly but surely our fundamental freedoms, such as the freedom of speech and religion, are being chipped away by Canada's Human Rights Commission (HRC).
Actually, this abuse of our rights started some time ago. I'm sure we remember when the former mayor of London, Ont., Dianne Haskett, was deprived of her religious rights because she refused to proclaim a gay rights parade, resulting in her being fined.
As of late, there have been new victims of invalid accusations, charged by the HRC against popular conservative journalists Mark Steyn and Ezra Levant for hatred towards Muslims, which moderate Muslims should also be doing, according to their understanding of the Koran...
