Syed Soharwardy defends Bishop Henry and Pastor Boissoin Slams Human Rights Commissions

Any reports of a sudden demand for ice-skates in Hell right now? Any sitings of Flying Pigs? No? Maybe Syed, has come around.

A Muslim-Canadian responds to Canada's human rights tribunals

...
However, I have learned that the best way to dispel misconceptions between our various cultures and communities is for us to meet face to face and learn from each other similarities and difference.

This can only be accomplished in a society that respects freedom of expression, freedom of religion and all of our other democratic freedoms.

The rest, you be the judge.

One word: taqqia

Blazing Cat Fur  – (1:50 PM)

You may well be right, it may have dawned on Syed that the HRC's are a double edged sword and this may indeed be taqiyah.

This may very well be a Taqqia.

Or maybe he has finally realized that Canadians who are for the most part pretty chilled - don't like our liberties fucked with.

Maybe he should have a chat with Mo and the socks?

When the infamous 'Muhammad cartoons' first exploded into controversy, I actually talked to a very Muslim man (whose son was my son's classmate) about it. People said I was crazy, but I thought I needed to...

At first, he was very indignant and very angry at the affront to Muhammad these cartoons caused. I told him I thought the cartoons were not just 'OK', they were necessary - and if he would suspend his indignation for just a little while, I would try to explain why. He accepted, with the caveat that he would also get a chance to be heard, so he could change MY mind.

We talked for about 2 hours....

At the end, he walked away agreeing that it was by PUBLISHING these cartoons that 'the West' was showing it was ACCEPTING Islam. He was not angry. He actually understood, on a deep level. And he promised he would tell his friends.

So, I do think it is very possible that people can indeed change their mind on something 'big'. And it takes a lot of guts to publicly admit it.

Good points Xanth, I hope it will be proven that Syed is sincere.

Taqqia or hudna. Probably both.

Blazing Cat Fur  – (6:25 PM)

Which came 1st? The Taqqia or the Hudna?

I would like to give Syed the benefit of the doubt. As Xanth has pointed out, sometimes discourse can change minds. And Syed has obviously had lots of opportunities for discourse along his journey. Considering the ways that the HRC's troll for business (as they won't stay in business unless they cultivate a perpetually aggrieved clientele), it is indeed possible that Syed thought that the HRC's were the way Canadians dealt with this kind of stuff.

Blazing Cat Fur  – (9:15 AM)

That may be Linda, my position is take him at his word but watch him closely.

Every reformed brigand should be given a second chance. Just keep the silverware locked up when you invite them into your house.

Ecclesiastes  – (2:30 PM)

With all the emphasis in being tolerant, non-discriminatory, and non-judgmental we have lost the capability to deal with a liar.

Muslims are liars.

OK, now we can stop listening to them.

There is, of course, a very simple test of his sincerity.

When a person commits such a terrible degree of malice against another person, and wants to correct himself, he not only admits he was wrong, terribly wrong, he makes amends.

He pays Ezra back what Ezra has been forced to pay out. He does so cheerfully on his own free will.

Without that minimum penance his admission is pure taqquia.

Remember, if he is a Mohammedan following Islam, anything is permitted to cover the treatment of infidels.

Until he actually converts away from Islam, I would not trust him, or any of his fellow jihadists.

Surely to goodness, decency, and the well-being of the security of our home and native land, folks should be able to spot such a bad apple.

We should turn the other cheek -- which means, of course, not to seek revenge. Demanding penance is not seeking any kind of revenge.

Recall the Conquistadores and their methods. The Islamic terror among us may not include a disease like smallpox, but it includes a disease equally lethal. That is the mimetic contagion of complicity, apathy, and misdirected "Christian" sympathy.

Don't trust them!
Don't trust them!
Don't trust them!
