The Canadian Islamic Congress cordially invites you to a special Gala Dinner on Nov. 15 to honor CIC's legal team for its excellence in community service pertaining to the groundbreaking human rights case against Maclean’s Magazine. The team members being honored are:

We are asking for contributions of $500 per ticket to this event, as all net proceeds will be used to cover the direct costs associated with the Maclean's case.
All lawyers and law students involved were or are working on the case pro bono (without fee); there will be no fundraising at the dinner.

I hope a blogger hangs out and takes pictures of those that attend, I hate to think we the little taxpayer could/might be funding a couple of seats for the CHRC and the OHRC. Now that would not be acceptable, would it?
