From a source: Prof. Ed Morgan is filing a defence motion for the Hasbarah fellows at York University. You are not going to believe this. The Hasbarah fellows are being charged with demonstrating without a permit, and three Jewish students fined $500 each. The Muslim mob did not have a permit either. The thing is, this is the most critical week because if the Hasbara fellows get banned (even temporarily as is being suggested) then they can't be present on campus to do their planned counter-activism against Israel Apartheid Week.

Speaking as an Ontario "landlord" - one basement apartment in my home and one 8-unit apartment building, all located within easy commuting disrtance to York Univ. - I feel fortunate for the gift of CRAIGSLIST. I am both Jewish and a reasonable and fair landlord, and CRAIGSLIST affords me the opportunity to SELECT to whom I wish to rent. Given the prevailing legislation governing landlords and the enormously expanded mandate of the OHRC, I have NO CHOICE to do otherwise. I have a Jewish wife and two young children. I work for a living. I cannot afford, in all conscience, to risk their safety by renting to Muslims. I've been "screening" CRAIGSLIST posting of people looking for accommodations and have become expert at identifying the overly demanding, the chronically cranky, single moms on welfare, and other potential "legal risks". Fortunately, this also includes Muslims. I make the odd error, but I am a "large" Jew (6'4" tall, 120 kgs.) who can muster a very "cranky" persona on demand. This usually suffice to deter any unwanted applications. I have been so successful at this that I have been "consulted" by other local landlords about how I manage to pull this off. BTW, my "tenants" also - get this! - "get along". It CAN be done - and at no risk to oneself!
I was already disgusted by the new model of policing where the biggest mob got its way, supposedly to avoid confrontation. Now that isn't good enough for them; they're going to chase the smaller group for having the temerity to show up in the first place. It's the mentality of peace at any price, seeping down from governments, administrators and police forces.
Ask the people in Caledonia how it works.

They are complicit for being tight lipped about the size and vileness of this radical left-Hamas alliance and its attack on Jews. Administrators and cops would not be aiding these radicals in their attacks on Jewish students if what had happened was widely publicized in a unbiased light....the public backlash would be swift for those who threaten Jews.
I think part of the problem is ideological as the MSM left-leaning editors have a stake in radical left ideologies and don't want to expose the ethical vacancy of these ideologies to public scrutiny... and second, I think they have a stake in keeping the HRC myth of basement Nazi overthrow alive for the race baiting industry (of which they are an integral part)....The concocted basement nazi threat is attached to their credibility now that they have expended so much pulp on dystopian CHRC propaganda. They can't have this very real radical left-Hamas Islamist threat supplant their carefully constructed myths.
Regardless of this, the Canadian MSM's silence on these new attacks on Jews is akin to condoning them and that is loathsome, unethical and insidiously political.

Here's the deal kids. Cops do what they are told. Period. Its what they are hired for, and they have a special screening process that weeds out independent thinkers and guys likely to balk.
Cops are not there to protect YOU. They are there to "keep the peace". You have no expectation of or right to police protection, it says so right in the statute.
Cops will always take the tactically simplest option, unless ordered otherwise. It is just soooo much easier to remove ten non-hostile Jews than 100 lunatic Muslims aching for a rumble.
Therefore obviously they will arrest the Jews. Because their job is not protecting your rights and your safety, their job is "keeping the peace". If there will be less ruckus with the Jewish counter-protesters gone, then they will be GONE.
The cops completely don't care if the fruitloop Muslim mob does whatever it wants, waves the Hamas flag, knocks down a synagog or two, punches out some Jewish students. Because their main goal is to GET HOME SAFE to the wife and kids, and of course to keep drawing a paycheck. These guys know which way the wind is blowing, they know that there will be zero fuss if they rough up a white kid, and they know there with be a major shitstorm if they rough up a brown kid. Major shitstorm = no paycheck for you.

Whenever there's a demonstration or a march or whatever in Caledonia, the cops always face -away- from the "Indians" and -toward- the "whites". They do that even when being attacked from the Indian side by rocks, bottles, fists and etc.

I've heard this argument before, Revnant. I disagree. The cops are the same as always, old vets remember stuff different from how it happened.
Cops are doing what they always do, as outlined above. The problem lies in the men giving the orders. The problem lies in the people keeping the propaganda in place.
Just lately we are getting treated to the spectacle of police acting exactly opposite to the good of the citizenry. Those -policies- have been in place for ages, only now are they starting to show up like a problem.
The policy won't change until the officials see the need to change it. That will happen the same day their hopes for re-election hinge on it.

The politicization of the Police has infected the force with the same mentality of entitlement all the other branches of government have become afflicted with. Most of this is all speculation. I doubt any of us will get the real story in our life times.
