Just what we needed - the Human Rights Commission approach to parenting...
In the consensual living model, father doesn't know best. Neither does mom. Instead, parents and children are equal partners in family life, according to the principles laid out at consensual-living.com.
The comments should be fun.
Cat, I gotta tell ya, a long time ago, somewhere, I heard this philosophy concerning children and their activities/wants/desires.
a) Is it morally threatening?
b) Is it life threatening?
If the answer to both of those questions is no, leave 'em alone.
Let em eat dirt I say.
Or go the the toilet where ever they want?
Good ol' organic dirt, we all ate as kids. It is not life threatening.
Teaching a two year old to piss beside (not on) a truck tire is hilarious. If he/she decides to pull his/hers pants down and have a shit in the middle of the mall, well that would be morally (&possibly life) threatening.

Are you suggesting something like this for toilet training?
