Calling all Bloggers! Have you written about the Thought Police at the Canadian Human Rights Commission?
Update2: Is the CHRC in violation of the privacy act?
Update: Jay Currie answers the call to arms:
BCF talks about bloggers using FOI - I would also suggest that anyone who has commented on any blog on any side of this issue needs to know if they are on the coward Lynch’s list. We do not know how widely this list has been shared and how the people on it have been characterized. Has it been shared with the RCMP? Or CSIS? Or the PCO? Have people who have blogged in favour of free speech or commented in that direction been characterized as being of the “far right”?
How dare the coward Lynch and the CHRC engage in a political spying operation in Canada?
How dare they?
....
Original Post below:
Jennifer Lynch has been making a list and checking it twice stating: I'm sure I have 1,200, certainly several hundred of these things," Referring to blog posts and news reports she claims have misinformed the public about the benevolence of the Thought Police at the CHRC.
My suggestion - file an Access to Information request with the CHRC, instructions below. I'm kinda lookin forward to seeing my own posts redacted in the CHRC's reply.
...
The form may be accessed here. Instructions are provided.
Ultimately your request will be forwarded along with a cheque or money-order in the value of $5.00 to:

I would suggest that Lynch comes to the rescue of poor Ahmadinejad who is the target of a brutal campaign of hate propaganda on Twitter with echoes in the Canadian blogosphere.
All those Tweets from Iranians who are slaughtered in the streets lack "balance". Lynch should ask Canadians to put things into perspective and to favor a "balanced approach": 10 minutes for the victims; 10 minutes for the murderous theo-fascist thugs.
Canadian blogs who relay Tweets without offering a "balanced" perspective unduly spread islamophobia in Canada.
Ah but Ahmadinejad is a member of a designated victim group - Islamofascists - so it would never happen. Plus it is likely Jennifer admires his efforts to shut down the internet.
That’s why I suggested on my blog that Mahmoud should page Ms Lynch, an internationally acclaimed promoter of the censorship agenda of the Organization of the Islamic Conference. Come and visit (www.postedeveille.ca).
I picked up an image of Lynch posted by Binks, and started a series on Lynch that is likely to attract the attention of her police apparatus. But then, who cares? Brave citizens shed their blood in Iran in the pursuit of Freedom. Lynch’s “matrix” of “balanced rights” is laughable
Big sister is watching YOU!!!
Here's another name for your file jenny.
I think you are an evil, old puke.
These disclosures are becoming really creepy. First we hear that the privileged Czarina has used her office to wade into the Ontario provincial conservative leadership debate. That alone should have been sufficient grounds for Harper to pull her plug.
Now we hear that the privileged Czarina is keeping a file on citizens critical of her department and their unlawful actions.
What will it take Mr. Harper? Should we call you PM for short? - because we may not be calling you that for long, as your CPC base dwindles in direct proportion to your support for s13 and these civil servants operating beyond the law.
Hey Blaze, I think I'm definitely going to have to give this a try. I really want to read that list - I wonder if Jenny's little bureaucracy will even release that file?
Good question Walker, likely not.
Her list could explain Harper's desire to give the police the power to snoop and spy on people on the internet without a warrant. I guess we are Harper's political enemies and he can use the new legislation to hunt us down via her list and then what?
It would be an honour to be on her list.
Commenter #1: you might be joking at this point, but the way things are going in this (thought)police state of ours in Canada, Ahmadinejad could indeed soon launch a major complaint against the entire Canadian blogosphere with the federal and provincial HRCs.
And you know what? With people like Jenny in charge of the witch hunts, he would like win every single complaint!
As for her files, I'm sure I'm in there (on account of this, this and this).
t’s time to give Jennifer something to do, so that she doesn’t get any more silly ideas. How about making her copy, by hand, all 88,942 words in George Orwell’s novel 1984 a hundred times? She might find it to be an educational and enlightening experience – you know, with all that stuff about thoughtpolice, freedom of thought and all that.
In the future when the history is written of this represive roo court. That my or your name is amoung those who fought it. On a list of enemmies against Socialism with there false courts of Identity Politics. What a legacy!!! Our children will bless us.
Not so those connected with this Political abomination.
A fine legacy.
You mean we have to give another $5 to state censors?
That sucks.
Don't forget the photo-copy service charge;)
Oh excellent! I criticized the HRC under my blog name on a blog and under my legal name in a newspaper column. I'd so spend the $5 (or, I guess, the $10), but how humiliating if I weren't actually on the Naughty List.
