Rights commission threatens our liberty
With frightening eagerness to rein in Canadians' free expression, the commission finds the authority to restrict honest opinion in Section 13 of the Human Rights Act, a notoriously vague bit of legal writing that forbids transmissions "likely to expose a person or persons to hatred or contempt." The subjective power of that "likely to" makes everyone vulnerable to bureaucratic whim, malice, or distemper.
Your ERWW seems to be referring to the Sheldon Chumir foundation. Sheldon Chumir was a member of the Alberta Liberal Party, and was considered leftist even within that party.
Funny, none of the people who defend Boisson mention the fact that he used his letter as a means of stirring up the kids in his charge to actual violence against a percieved gay. They also leave his previous criminal convictions.

I know Revnant I love how Keeping slammed Jenny for her smear - support for stripping the HRC's of censorship powers is bi-partisan. But Jenny would rather lie about that.

Where do you see it stated by Dodd in the testimony that Boissoin was stirring up the kids?
The testimony reads: "Ms. Dodd reported that Mr. Boissoin would discuss his writing of this letter in the youth center."
You make the assumption he was "stirring up the kids".
What do your allegations regarding Boissoin's past indiscretions have to do with anything?
Are you suggesting someone be tried not only for current charges but also for past offenses?

BCL seems to think that past, youthful mistakes whould only be forgiven if you are in agreement with BCL, Jen Lynch, Kinsella, and Warman as to ideology. God even forgives, and remembers them no more as if they are tossed into a sea of forgetfulness. Luckily He doesn't base his forgiveness upon ideology or idiotology
BCL fails to convince, every single time. BCL fails to understand that Freedom (TM) includes the freedom to be a doofus, a shite disturber, rude, wrong and etc. or it isn't Freedom (TM). Yes BCL, we protect the rights of stupid/wrong people too. That's why you still have yours.
BCL also seems to conveniently miss the fact that if Mr. Boisson is some kind of harmful criminal type, what with being all violent and everything, that his (alleged) disturbance of the Force is due to a failure of Liberal revolving door criminal justice, not something for Human Rights Commissions to be seeing to.
BCL only says what is convenient for him to say to prop up his sagging Lefty ideology, he doesn't really make what one could call an argument. This is because he can't say what he really wants: silence from all except enlightened beings such as himself.
