The Catholic Civil Liberties League has come out squarely against Section 13(1) and the abuses by the HRC's in general, this is the type of fight they will relish.
If Barb's minions don't dismiss this outright they will regret it.

What would happen if they just ignored the complaint and the charges? Would they come and take these people away in chains?
Pretty much, assuming the Tribunal is crazy enough to proceed. They would face a court order demanding compliannce with any remedy/penalty the tribunal arrived at.
This, of course, will make the complainants popular with the congregation and enhance inter-orientation relations.
This is great. The nuttier the HRCs get, the closer they come to extinction.
Barbara Hall reminds me of a Communist mentioned in Solzenytzans (SP) gulag archipelago. She was from Bulgaria & was so fanatic she carried a umbrella if it rained in Moscow. She was later eliminated as well. But not until the blood in buckets fell from her hands.
This is going to be great. A bureaucrat takes on am entity that is 2000 years old, full of crafty bureaucrats that have centuries of experience behind them. Including their own inquisition at one time for a thousand years. This ought to be fun to watch. If not, it should be a reality TV show.

Why is a grown man an altar boy anyway? Where any of the 12 parents of other altar boys, I wonder.
How can someone be a devout Catholic and then throw a big, punitive, hissy fit, suing bishops and fellow parishioners for 20 thousand bucks EACH because he has been asked not to serve at the altar anymore? Especially when this is a gay man who may be aware of several Church scandals involving gay adult men on the altar.
I wonder what Corcoran wrote on his blog to get parishioners so riled. How did they know he was gay? Hmm.
Well, here we go. Gay rights vs freedom of religion for Christians, once again.
I take that bit back about the altar boys and the scandals. That was mean. Maybe Corcoran really is a chaste gay guy.
However, he does say on his blog that he has a lot of problems with Church teachings, and his readers are definitely not so pleased with Catholics.
I stand by the idea that whacking people with the HRCs and multi-thousand dollar lawsuits is not a sign of spiritual progress. It is nice that Corcoran came back to church, but really, if every single Catholic who went back to church after a while and got pissed off sued, there'd be lawsuits every Monday morning.

It is complicated when a straight man lives with a straight woman. I was chaste in that circumstance -- I didn't want to be, but I was chaste.
