Immigrants are welcome but must realize they are expected to internalize Canadian values and leave behind repugnant archaisms such as this utterly skewed understanding of what constitutes male honour, and the obligation of feminine submissiveness.

Werner may or not be right as I believe honour killings, village rape and disfigurements are also accepted and practiced in East Indian (India and Pakistan come to mind) society.

The Alberta Redneck reference was a bit off base W as there have been serial killings in BC (Picton), Ontario (Bernardo), Quebec, Saskatchewan and the NWT.
