Keep an eye on this...

York Prof Noble's "Reprisals" case to be heard by "Made Up" Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, in mid September.

My complaint had two parts, discrimination and reprisal. The first has been settled; after a Human Rights Commission investigation found York's practice to be discriminatory and the Commission decided to refer the matter to the Tribunal for adjudication, York ended the practice. The second part focuses upon the reprisals undertaken by York against me in response to my efforts to end the discrimination.

The ruling may prove indicative of the HRTO's "bent".

I always thought it was great that York gave students the Jewish holy days off classes. For one thing, it reflected the large number of Jewish students that went to York. Also, York Main is close to the Bathurst Street corridor, which was (and is) a major Jewish neighbourhood, one of the largest
in North America. Meanwhile, the Christian/government holidays of Easter and Christmas are also observed--something Noble conveniently forgets.

Sadly, York no longer seems to be a great place to be a Jewish student. Jewish students have actually been physically attacked and chased through campus by "anti-Israel" activists. And that was after years of increasing hostility from an increasing percentage of culturally anti-Semites in the student body.

York is unfriendly period - especially to higher education.
