Let us not forget basic tribal instincts, the role of men as protectors, and most women's need to have a dominant male around. (Five Feet, don't shoot me). In our wishy-washy, socialist, post-liberal, equality minded society, a lot of women feel re-assured by an alpha male. Ms McDonough probably felt a stirring thrill at being ordered around by a man, meekly complying as her inner primitive self felt relieved at relinquishing the decision making process.

And this "old, bearded Imam, who carried a walking stick," can have his way with most women, (Allah decrees it) and those he can't bend, he scorns.

As Iv'e stated before, the true purpose of Islam is the subjugation of women for the male's own purposes. That is it in a nutshell. Take away all the trappings, ceremonies, edicts, no don't take them all away, add them all up and what do they have in common, what is the ultimate purpose and the end result?

Islam allows men to have their way with women. Whatever they wish to do, right up to and including murder, is sanctioned under their religion.

That gives the men control over breeding rights. They have actually figured out a way to usurp Darwin's Natural Selection and Survival of the Fittest by deciding which males get which females. Control over the continuation of the species such as this is a very powerful weapon. You can now command young men, horny young men to do your bidding.

Do we really think the powers of Islam will willingly give up this nifty ideology rooted in man's most primal urges?

The Ottawa Mosque I went to had a balcony, not a basement, for the women and children. That way, we could watch, hear and learn - but not distract the men at their prayers...
