Here in Canada, we take airport security seriously. Last week, at Toronto International, an arriving US Military officer, dressed in uniform and carrying his USAF issued duffle was searched by no less than 6 of our security specialists, before they realised that he was one of us and not one of "them." That they realised he was one of us and not one of them might be an overstatement. They stopped searching him and let him go.
The "security" specialists will pretend to protect us from evil, and we will pretend that they are protecting us from evil. Then, we will all feel secure . . . secure in our delusions.

If, as Blaze suggested this was really an attempt at urban renewal via terrorist, from the Obama government, then we have proof once again to the American people of the need to Buy American.
It is probably hard in the marketing for the job, to get an American to believe that he will get 70 virgins for blowing himself up, hence terrorism of this sort has to be outsourced. it is a challenge for most of us in North America to believe that there are 70 virgins, even for the first guy.
If they want to bring the labour in country, as it were, they might have to try another marketing strategy. Instead of 70 virgins, maybe 70 cases of Bud, or 70 Hot and Ready pizzas, or both.
