Ok - so, I am 'white'.
But, I am 'too white'!
Even compared to 'other white people', my whiteness sticks out like a sore thumb....and people comment on it, and point and whisper, and everything....
This is all due to a disability, as I am allergic to light in the sun's wavelengths.... Like, no kidding. Medical proof and all that - my 'whiteness' is due to a disabling illness.
So, whoever is putting this thing on is directly discriminating against me - and inciting prejudice and hatred against me, all because of my medical condition!

We should give serious consideration to filing a HRC complaint - I'm serious this is blatant racism.
This is hate speech and indoctrination directed against racialized light-skinned people. It's designed to make us feel otherized, isolated and attacked.

White guilt is racist in just about every way imaginable (it is the condescending "white man's burden" taken to an absurd extreme; it's antisemitic, antiwhite, etc. - it hates everyone because it's nihilistic). But good luck taking a bunch of white people (as most of them surely are) to the HRC for being "anti-white".
By some definitions of white guilt, Xanthippa, when her medical condition is at issue, is not "white". White guilt is the guilt of those who are unmarked, who can pass as neutral, socially unproblematic, in face of those who can claim victim status for being marked by some kind of ascriptive (involuntary) marker. A white Arab or Persian with Muslim garb at the airport is marked; a respectable-looking Australian aboriginal in that situation is not, at least not so much.
It is possible to be Black and suffer from White Guilt, if say you are a wealthy American and in a sitution where your "privilege", i.e. your nice middle-class acceptability is contrasted with say a poor, culturally other, African or say a disabled and hence potentially problematic "white".
White guilt is objectionable because it excuses all kinds of socially-destructive behaviours from the West's supposed others, because it works against any real progress in our social and economic life because it hates that every change creates some new asymmetry, some temporary or relative winner and loser (White Guilt sees the world in terms of zero-sum games, of big winners and losers, even though our creation of differences are often not zero-sum - freedom can lift all boats), and it doesn't want to allow any change, a source of new guilt, to happen. White guilt is horribly violent because it seeks to take the world into some impossible Utopian equality, and so it hates the truly innovative forces in our world. That it is is also crudely racist is not my primary concern.
Playing its own game of finger-pointing is not I think the most likely way to defeat it as a historical force. It's better to show it up for what it is. Laugh at the evil s--T
OK I know I've said this before, and maybe none of you have wee ones - but please allow me to say again that CUPE and OSSTF are inextricably linked. OSSTF supports CUPE resolutions. Period. Many CUPE members teach at universities, and OSSTF obviously high schools. Please pay attention to who is teaching your kids.
