It echoes what Asma Jahangir has been saying for years (in more general terms): when a society grants special privileges to minorities within it, these minorities will, in turn, use these special privileges to oppress its own minorities.....often, but not necessarily, women.

Sharia is not 'special' - it is just 'an overachiever' at this...
