WTF???? I'm not a lawyer but I'm pretty sure that ain't legal. Maybe they'll make Guy move to whatever jurisdiction they find him guilty in - say Germany circa 1938
Earle's Lawyer has boycotted the hearing which I am told is likely pointless unless "he trotted off to the BC Supreme Court for an injunction preventing the hearing from going ahead" - He is.

Update - good thing I'm not a lawyer - A lawyer notes - "Sadly, it is "legal" in the sense that where the question of jurisdiction is raised the tribunal can either rule prior to the hearing or after the hearing. It is a weird little quirk in administrative law."
That's some quirk. - "Well it rests on the presumption that a tribunal does have the jurisdiction to hear matters before it including questions going to its jurisdiction...Circularity is a feature not a bug in law"

Ya know, it's so outrageous you want to laugh, as if watching some ridiculous comedy, then you remember it's real, and these are real people being screwed over for big bucks.

Yes it is bizarre but par for the course. Yea had weird thing with the pic for awhile seems to be some kind of blogger bug.
I think we should all boycott it. Anyone who receives the notice should simply throw it in the mail or if it's delivered by a sheriff or something, refuse to sign it.
