This is one of the things Children's Aid warned me about before I met my birth family: sexual attraction.

My adopted sisters, the ones I grew up with, are not genetically related. We could legally marry. Wouldn't ever even think about it. Yech. Gross. That's my sister.

My birth-sisters, of whom I have four, were strangers. Very attractive genetically related strangers who get my jokes and share my worldview. There were some awkward/wierd feelings which mercifully went away after the first few days.

I'm glad the lady at Children's Aid warned me before I met them. Not that I would have done anything, but it was easier thinking "oh wierd, that lady was right. Yuck", and not "must shoot self must shoot self". It was unpleasant, but not a surprise.

Easy to see how it happened, but still.... that is one deeply disturbing story.
