Graves/Ekos - CBC says... We're not biased you ignorant peasants....

"There was no violation of CBC’s Journalistic Standards and Practices."

More like it's standard operating procedure at the CBC.

Graves EKOS (Rev)

They are truly legends in their own minds and that's what you the taxpayer should be concerned about.

oh, did I forget to mention that everything about the CBC is total crap.

Blazing Cat Fur  – (4:48 PM)

Heh though I did like that Don Cherry thing, it's very very hard to watch the CBC, basically your up against a heavily politized, unionized, culture of entitlement. They likely do believe they are representative of Canadians.

paul  – (4:56 PM)

The good news is that George Strobobuttfuckopolis is moving to Al Jazeera to join Tony Burman and the rest of the ex-CBC pink flamingos.

Oh well, he can easily be replace by another women of equal mediocrity.

Blazing Cat Fur  – (5:01 PM)

He is? You got a link?

paul  – (5:07 PM)

... ask your wife. I think she ran him up the flagpole last week.

Actually, I never watch the CBC (or much TV for that matter). It's just funny saying George Strobobuttfuckopolis.

sanwin  – (5:09 PM)

Well you could knock me over with a feather and paint me pink !

truepeers  – (5:27 PM)

Every news organization is "biased"; it's a given in the nature of things. Those who deny it just have a certain kind of bias - faith in the mutually-accrediting "experts" who get to define professional standards and who is and isn't within the "responsible" centre. Everyone at the CBC is like Frank Graves, working to scapegoat the "extremists" (usually right wing) in the name of their own non-biased centrality.

paul  – (5:47 PM)

tp, what I find amusing is that they actually are mediocre at being mediocre.

truepeers  – (7:11 PM)

Paul,

What's the gold standard of mediocrity? :)

paul  – (7:40 PM)

I would say that the gold standard of mediocrity would be "creative" decisions made by a committee.

The CBC takes mediocrity a step further making committee decisions that need union approval behind a "pink" curtain.

Net effect; developing interesting programs starts and stops with changing the furniture and getting their presenters to to sound like a cheap knock-off of CNN. (CNN being vanilla mediocre, except when all hell breaks loose and they go live)

Really, the CBC would improve on themselves just by running MANswers 24/7.

(way to much estrogen in the building).

been around the block  – (8:27 PM)

So, the sun rises in the East every morning?

What's the useless, moral-pygmy, CBC/Pravda going to say?

"We're so sorry we've been such shills for the left-lib, socialist, pro-feminist, pro-gay interests in Canada. We realize we've misused taxpayers' trust as well as their money and we promise we'll never do it again. We promise we'll highlight issues of interest to all Canadians in a balanced way. You can count on us!"

Uh. Uh. These guys have sucking from the public teat while scratching the tit that feeds them down pat. They do whatever they damned well please and have double-speak and news-speak down pat because they know, up to now anyway, that $1 billion is coming their way every year.

Why change? Why do anything different?

Kyrie Eleison.

truepeers  – (8:35 PM)

Alas, I cannot but concur that women's freedom is forever tied to men's, that real creativity for the former is dependent on males often taking the lead in creating new spaces in which it can happen. Without aggressive, conflict-loving, pushy males, we all lose something essential to living in freedom. Same thing for Jews. But how many "feminist" women at the CBC, if they saw the paradox as I do, if they saw that their own freedom in Western societies as dependent on the achievements of Western manhood would vote to be free and not slaves to some resentment of the "imperialist" white male "patriarchy"?

truepeers  – (8:42 PM)

I should qualify that: aggressive, conflict-loving, pushy males who can nonetheless find, when necessary, the humility and good faith to forget themselves and overcome the shame/honour system that hamstrings many males. Many feminists rightly berate shame/honour systems, but miss the need for free people of a guilt/faith system, a covenant, to replace it.

I wonder if they will make Strombo wear a Burqa?

been around the block  – (7:10 AM)

BCF: "I wonder if they will make Strombo wear a Burqa?"

Now, there's one dude whose appearance would be improved by wearing a burqa! what a maroon.

Awful thought: Who's going to replace George?

paul  – (10:33 AM)

In keeping with Islamic practices, Georgie Boy will have to wear more than a burka.

More like perform the Bacha Bazi, I would say.

Blazing Cat Fur  – (11:05 AM)

That's cruel! I like it.

Patrick Ross  – (2:21 AM)

They exonerated themselves. Please allow me to feign surprise.

Blazing Cat Fur  – (4:49 AM)

Yes we were shocked twice over!
