With four weeks to go before the general elections in the Netherlands, Geert Wilders and the Party for Freedom are now engaged in a life-and-death struggle against the forces of jihad. In the last couple of years Geert Wilders has emerged as the international symbol of the struggle against Islam.
The Party for Freedom (PVV) refuses government subsidy in order to remain independent. All other Dutch parties receive government money. Therefore, the PVV is facing a serious challenge in order to survive this election season. Dutch state television is engaged in a massive campaign to smear the PVV.

There's a reason Wilders wants more money in a hurry.
For a year, from march to march, his party [PVV] was first in the polls [occasionally sharing with the biggest party in parliament, the CDA]
His peak was an expected 32 seats.
But once the government failed & a real election was called, things started to unravel.
The government fell because the largest party, the CDA [41seats] wanted to continue in Afghanistan. Labour [PvdA 33 seats] refused.
At that point the polls were [from rightist to leftist]

Geert is in fourth place, & Labour [the now most popular party] has said it would never form a coalition with him.
His hope is for a right-wing coalition,with CDA or VVD leading. But that is a bare majority as of now, & who are they going to take more votes from?
The old coalition VVD, CDA & PvdA would have 92 seats. If labour continues to lead, it's new leader [& Geert's arch-enemy] Job Cohen will be PM.

The Jewish community tends to vote Liberal/left in Canada and Democart in the US Dizzy, Lord knows why and the only poll that matters is a vote.

Pim Fortuyn was mentioned. He was the anti-Islamic tub-thumper before Wilders took up the mantle [after Fortuyn's death]
At that time, he was against Muslim-bashing --

Well Dizzy you don't like Wilders. I'm not surprised, no leftist does and it isn't difficult to find some commie windbag to speak ill of him. Let's wait for the election shall we.
Now I know. $1.00 Cdn = 3/4 of a Euro. How long before Harper reverses that one? Specially if they insist on bailing out Greece.
Ya know, at least with my kid, I finally say enough is enough. I'm not paying your bills anymore. I'm not responsible for your wife & child, (my grandaughter), you are. I've given you ample opportunity to get ahead and you've blown it. I'll swallow my considerable losses on my investment in you, as I can't afford to keep seeing no return on my money. If you can't pay for the equipment I financed, park it. I still have to pay it off, which I will, but I will not continue to support you living beyond your means.
How did gov'ts arrive at the state they are, without realizing the truth of such economics?
Because they like payin us off with our own money, works for them works for us.

Problem is, we are about to witness, with Greece and next France (or already)what happens when the gov't tries to take away the populace's "entitlements"
That's what happens when the gov't becomes your nanny.
