JEWISH DEFENCE LEAGUE OF CANADA OPEN LETTER TO THE GOVERNMENT OF CANADA

TO THE ATTENTION OF THE HON. JASON KENNEY MP

Last December, I sent you a letter with details of a list of speakers for a conference on Islam. The speakers at that conference represented the positions of Political Islam. The Government of Canada took action and removed the charitable status from this front group of Political Islam. In the first week of July, another group with similar positions will hold a conference in Toronto. The Jewish Defence League of Canada has done a background check on the speakers. The information is listed below. As an example, one of the speakers is a man that goes by the name Dr. Abdullah Hakim Quick.

This is what he says about the Gay Community, ……”They said “what is the Islamic position [on homosexuality]?” And I told them. Put my name in the paper. The punishment is death. And I’m not going to change this religion.” I am using him as an example because, durring the week of the conference will also be The Pride Parade. And at that Pride Parade will be a group that calls itself "Queers Against Israeli Apartheid". The group QAIA and the groups that they associate with have not spoken up against the blatant attack on Gay Rights from groups that promote Political Islam. The deceit and double standards is an outrage.

I would like the Government of Canada to look into the possible misuse of the charitable status of this group Islamic Relief Fund. Islamic Relief Canada is a registered charitable organization with the Canada Revenue Agency, registered charity # 821896875RR0001. The donations are charged in Canadian dollars and all donations will be issued a tax receipt at the end of the year.

6. Shaikh Hussein Yee Background link.

Yee is a Malaysian convert. He supports jihad. In 2006, when British troops were still fighting in Iraq, he said this at an Islamic conference:

….”May Allah help all the mujahideen, especially in Palestine, especially in Iraq, and wherever they are, who fight to protect human rights.”

In the same speech, he denied that the September 11 attacks were carried out by Muslims and suggested Jews were responsible:

…”So, don’t worry about the twin towers. We have nothing to do with it. The Muslims must not get into an area that you do not know. Do you understand that? I know, sometimes you feel, you know who was very happy when the twin towers have been attacked? A group of Jews was so happy in America, they were having a party when the twin towers had been burned. They had a celebration, they had a party going on. Why did they do that? We don’t know.”…

Yee does have it in for Jews. From another speech:

…“We do not want the way that people whom you (Allah) cursed – “maghdub”. When you see the word “maghdub”, “ghadab” is anger, who does Allah refer to, brothers? The Jews."

"Because the Jews, they have gone so far against Allah’s commands. They like to do a lot of things that are very extreme. The most extremist nation in this world is the Jews. So if they used “extremists”, it doesn’t apply to Muslims. It applies to the Jews. They are the extremists in the world." ‘

"That’s why they kill the Palestinians every day. They have no respect for the United Nations. Why don’t they respect the United Nations? Do you know why, brothers? Who is the United Nations? Even Allah, he makes promises with Allah, the Jew who makes promises with Allah, he breaks the promise with Allah. He doesn’t even respect Allah. How can he respect the United Nations?"

7. Shaikh Muhammad Alshareef

Shaikh Muhammad Alshareef was born in 1975 and raised in Canada. Currently he lives with his family in Ottawa, Canada.

Institute founder Muhammad Alshareef expressed his thoughts on Muslim-Jewish relations in an article he published entitled, “Why the Jews are Cursed” (curiously, this article is not available on Al-Maghrib’s Khutbah.com website).

As noted by the Militant Islam Monitor,  in Alshareef’s article he expounds on the anti-Semitic canard that the international media is owned and controlled by Jews, and thus, biased against Muslims:

……”When I was in high school, studying in journalism class, our teacher had placed on the wall a statement that I spent many days contemplating. It simply said, "Freedom of the press (speech) belongs to those that own the press!" Who owns the press? Well, you can believe me when I say that it is not the god fearing beloved of Allah.”….

The remainder of Alshareef’s article recites a litany of accusations against the Jewish faith, blaming them for a wide range of iniquities, including changing the words of Allah, making blasphemous statements, and murdering the Prophets. He concludes his essay by decreeing that Muslims should not ally with Jews, should not imitate them and proscribing Muslims from ever marrying Jews or Christians.

8. Shaikh Said Rageah  He lives in Toronto with his family and is the Imam of Abu Huraira Centre and the chairman of Journey of Faith.

9. Shaikh Yahya Ibrahim was born in Waterloo, Canada

Rabbis David Baron of Temple of the Arts and Steve Jacobs of Temple Kol Tikva will join Ra'id Faraj of CAIR (as well as Yassir Fazaga of the Orange County Islamic Foundation) for "a frank discussion" on the state of Muslim-Jewish relations at the Shabbat service. The topic is great, but why permit Islamists to represent Muslims? This mistake both distorts the discussion and it gives CAIR an all-important Jewish imprimatur."
