Need someone to say nice things about the CHRC & Section 13?...Dial 1 800 Pearl;)
Pearl Eliadis, my favourite human rights huckster, has been one of the few, one of the very few in fact, willing to publicly defend the police state apparatus of the CHRC and Section 13 (1). Believe it or not I'm kinda fond of Pearl, it's very difficult to hate an "enemy" as thick as she is and in fact I owe her thanks for having labeled my blog "poisonous". Ezra and Steyn have eviscerated Pearl previously for all the right reasons.
However the next time Pearl the Clown offers up an op-ed or even a letter to the editor I hope the MSM looks carefully at her background and takes anything she has to say at less than face value. Seems our gal Pearl Eliadis has her teeth clenched tightly on the public tit courtesy of the Canadian Human Rights Commission.
Here's her latest payday courtesy of your tax dollars $42,000 Big Ones.

I'd not heard of this woman before so I've just followed your link. To think that she has the temerity to call your blog "poisonous"! Looking at the manner in which she wishes to quash free speech, she ought to apply this adjective to herself.
A few years' ago I was considering emigrating to Canada to get away from the PC nonsense and Islamisation here in the UK, but your blog and others has done me a great service in revealing that Canada is just as riddled with this nonsense as it is here in England. I'll have to get to know more about this CHRC body. It seems that it is probably very much akin to our EHRC (Equalities and Human Rights Commission). Alas, it's just the same in Australia it would seem.
Incidentally, following on from the imaginative anti-Islamisation demo in Paris on Friday, London is currently bearing witness to a 'One Law for All' anti-sharia protest. I attended one of its predecessors and it was a small-scale affair. However, I have my reservations about today's demonstration, as the organiser has ulterior motives and has attacked other elements within the UK's counterjihad movement: http://durotrigan.blogspot.com/2010/06/london-one-law-for-all-protest-20-june.html
The two commisions are in fact identical heads of the same snake. With luck and hard work we retain a slight chance of reversing the infestation of the "Human Rights Cultists" in Canada.
Hmm I am vaguely familiar with Namazie, keep us informed on the protest.
Every time I get a phone call from the CPC for a donation (about one a month), I tell them I'll be glad to contribute after they repeal section 13(1) of the CHRA, in fact will double what I gave last time.
Funny, but it seems this is a common response now, and they have learned to accept rather than argue the point.
We say the same, Harper is gutless however on this matter.
The EHRC is about to go into combat with the BNP yet again here in the UK. Griffin seems to have some sort of suicidal urge to keep getting taken to court by them. The EHRC recently went so far as to suggest that it is 'racist' to oppose mass immigration.
No further news on the One Law for All Demo as yet, but there was a big leftist (well, leftist-organised but predominantly Muslim attended) march/rally in East London today following the EDL's success in getting an Islamic Conference cancelled. The photographs culled from the SWP site are very telling insofar as they reveal the almost complete colonisation of this area of the city, and the virtual absence of women amongst the crowd: http://durotrigan.blogspot.com/2010/06/tower-hamlets-anti-edl-march-against.html
Thanks for the update!
"Competative contract"? Who was she "competing" against?
