Those comments [by Naik] were kept out, but the kinds of musings that we find on [Hossain's] website should be, and the police confirm are, a concern that will not be tolerated. These acts of extremism are significant, have a real impact and must not be tolerated.’"

While I understand that she is trying to be (cough) diplomatic, perhaps Ms. Bromberg needs to be reminded that the most popular television show in the Muslim world during Ramadan, year in and year out, is a twelve part theatrical reenactment of The Elders of Zion.
Not to forget to mention the daily barrage in Muslim popular media promoting the singular message that Jews are "evil".
While Ms. Bromberg and Bnai Brith may not be as stupid, arrogant and self-serving as the CJC, I would suggest she reacquaint herself with the insidious vitriol against Jews taking place daily in the vast majority of Canadian mosques and review the policy positions of so called mainstream Islamic associations in this country replete with their anti-Jewish messages.
And lastly, she should be reminded that to ALL Muslims (as we are reminded by Turkey's Prime Minister), there is no such thing as extreme Islam; - There is only ONE Islam.
To be honest Paul, I believe BB is aware of what goes on but as you note diplomacy necessarily mutes at times.
That is wild about that Zion reenactment I was not aware of it.
BCF, given what has developed over the last ten years inside the Muslim community in Canada, it's high time BB and the CJC stop pussy-footing around and MAN-UP to the hard reality at hand; - which in good part has developed as a direct result of their so called "diplomatic" approach.
Really, both organizations are trapped in the same mindset European Jewry were in the 20th Century, being afraid to directly confront the problem. They should know better.
I agree interfaith outreach and samosa schmoozing won't cut it any longer.

Jihad is a community standard norm in Islam.

You would think by now that Germans would know that Nazis were actually left wing extremists as in the National Socialist party and that all the non democratic theocracies of the middle east are left wing dictatorships.
