"Robert Spencer of Jihad Watch is currently visiting Sweden at the invitation of Sverigedemokraterna (the Sweden Democrats), the only mainstream political party in Sweden that opposes mass immigration and the Islamization of Europe.
A Swedish reader has translated an article from Aftonbladet about Mr. Spencer’s visit. The translator remarks that the Islamic spokesman quoted by Aftonbladet — Mohammed Kharraki, the president of Sweden’s Young Muslims — is a thoroughgoing Islamist and an anti-Semite."

If I wanted a judgement on whether a party is "mainstream" or not, would I think of asking "Robert Spencer of Jihad Watch"?
I might ask "How many seats does the party have in parliament?"
I might ask the opinions of other parties

You may like the Sweden Democrats. But you aren't Swedish, so it doesn't really matter what you think.
But to claim that they are a mainstream party, you side with Spencer et al against real Swedes.
Besides, you usually use "mainstream" as an epithet.
