Small world isn't it? Dr. Wasty's name came up in reference to Ottawa Terrorist Suspect Khurram Syed Sher who is alleged to be "part of a terrorist group in Canada and have links to international terrorism".
The good Dr. and his wife Zeba Hashmi aka Heba al Shareef, sister of Almaghrib Institute founder Muhammed al Shareef, purchased a home for Dr. Sher out of the goodness of their hearts.
Dr. Wasty lent his signature to this effort to have Dr. Yoram Blacher removed as head of the World Medical Association. It's nice to see our medical professionals committed to social justice issues.

nterestingly, the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario notes Sher was hired to St. Thomas's "department of anatomical pathology" under the supervision of Dr. Fasahat Hussain Wasty, its pathology chief.

There's a lot of this going around. Apparently Jig-A-Loo lubricant is having trouble in the US market because of its name. Maybe Wasty is confused and what he's really worried about is haram lubricants...

Doctors, can you provide me with further information. I need to verify what you have said. I have searched the societies web site and can find no record of Sher being a member in good standing. However can you confirm that he failed his finals?
