"Simpleton Canadians" - Security officials are afraid to look out for our safety
"Respected Middle East scholar, Daniel Pipes, witnessed beveiled folk -- whether male or female, he couldn't tell -- swanning unchallenged through Canadian boarding controls. A former U.S. Special Forces soldier reportedly saw arrogant face-veiled women "harangue" and threaten a screener with lawsuits for daring to ask to see their faces in a private room. The screener caved, let them pass, and was humiliated with laughter from the victorious women who -- in Arabic -- disparaged "simpleton Canadians."

What about simpleton Obama? The Figaro reports that in a speech celebrating the start of the month of Ramadan, he said that "Islam promotes justice, progress, tolerance and dignity."

The biggest problem is not with the top level ministers, it's the front line screener. Say a TWP insists on seeing a veiled persons face. The body bag screams and yells and demands to see a supervisor. Mr/Mrs/Ms Supervisor comes over and kow tows to the body bags. They sail on through security happy as clams. TWP frontline screener is then chewed out by Supervisor for causing an issue, i.e. bothering Supervisor who was playing Farmville. TWP starts ignoring body bags.
This is typical of most security out there these days. The body bags are winning a lot of quiet battles.
Thanks Poste Linked!
I agree Paladin and to what extent is the CHRC responsible? Big paydays for whiners, Big trouble for resopndents equals big disaster for all of us.

Isn't this basically what happened with Mohammed Atta at Boston Logan on Sept. 11?
Sooner or later the Army (CAF) is going to be charged with airport security.
I just wish it was sooner. I also wish it was the IDF.
Sounds right Rick, unfortunately the front liners are given responsibilty without authority, that's a recipe for disaster.
Rasp the LPC would cry about Guns at Canadian Airports!
You get used to guns pretty quickly - I learned that at Ft. Irwin earlier this year. The way things are going lately I'd almost welcome it.
As we walked through Schipol I saw uniformed military with automatic weapons. They were the tallest guys in the room, watching everybody. We felt very comfortable.

Ignore the link to the video I provided in my last message. It is from 2009. I didn't listen for more than 10 seconds because it is vomit inducing.
God help us.
There is no mention of it but, but one could probably assume that these "bags" are traveling on diplomatic passports or are some relatives of islamist diplomats or fundamentalist religious figures living in Ottawa. Such carryings on confer "better muslim" status on their family head when it comes to inter family or clan religious rivalries.
The most obvious way to deal with this would be to send these "bags" on their way if they are non citizens and ban them from any later reentry by international direct flight airliner. If they hold Canadian citizenship, they must comply or they don't fly, are escorted off the the airport property immediately, or face arrest if they so much as .... Also mark them for enhanced El Al style security measures at airports worldwide.
Speaking of which, how are the evaluations going for the new pattern jail/prison burkhas?
Well I have seen a prison mumu, bright orange too, very unappealing, I'm sure a bit of cloth can be added;)
It's not funny when your family is across an ocean from you. Fortunately, I fly from Glasgow, and as two idiot jihadis discovered, Glaswegians will apprehend and beat the snot out of miscreants at the airport with their bare hands and booted feet. I reckon that memory gives Glasgow a little extra security.
