Human Rights Cannibalism - I think they call this a Win - Win Situation
Update: Windsor Law School’s Carasco fiasco: A case study in the need to rein in human rights commissions
I have little empathy for our universities and less for the human rights cabal, lets hope they destroy each other.

' empowers the tribunal to make “an order directing any party to the application to do anything that, in the opinion of the tribunal, the party ought to do to promote compliance with this Act.”'
Did Stalin write that part?
I foolishly believed this case would get immediately booted rather than being taken seriously at all. It looks like the decision-makers knew a troublemaker when they saw one and ditched this person. I am sure she was very vocal about her agenda.
Seems to be the case, this is Human Rights Madness at it's best Tim, I'm just going to sit back and enjoy the Show.
This woman never got the job (and, one would guess, quitel likely for more reasons than she knows or wants to know) and she expects the HRTO to "remedy" the situation? And Jim Turk is willing to be all PC and acknowledge limits to the universities' Chartered autonomy? I'd have to disagree with your not taking sides except that it is the law schools that are probably most to blame for the "human rights" law in this country.
What's more, many working lawyers, I'm told, hate the incompetent educators who "man" the laws schools in this country, people interested more in their Gnostic theories than in the pragmatic educational needs of lawyers-to-be. Maybe the working lawyers can one day, if pushed enough, find some professional integrity and start organizing against the shaming of their profession - of justice - that goes on every day in the HRTs.
The problem is, where does this one stop? Should Kim Campbell have gone to the HRC's and demanded to be made PM? Hey, people didn't vote for her because she was a woman.

Good points Tru, law brandished as an ideological weapon, perish the thought, sounds eerily familiar.
Thanks Brian.
So can they just make up any powers for themselves? Can Barbara Hall suspend Parliament and declare herself Dictator?
Inquiring minds, as they say...
Pretty much, Jkay has a good piece will update this post.
Perfect pic for this bunch BCF.
Those are "Mormon" beetles cannibalizing one another;)
