London "Allegedly" Free Press Spikes Rory Leishman Column on Homegrown Jihadis
By Rory Leishman
[Note: The following column was scheduled to appear in The London Free Press on September 11, but was rejected for publication by the newspaper's Managing Editor Joe Ruscitti.]
...
Editor Joe Ruscitti objected to the column on the basis of a reference to Dr. Munir El -Kassem. Readers may recall an earlier post I did on El-Kassem in which I pointed out his defense of the Taliban for the destruction of the Bhudda Statues and his ringing endorsement of Louis Farrakhan:
"Actually it takes vision, determination and strong leadership to achieve unity and I think Minister Farrakhan demonstrated that ability and strong leadership and vision to bring the Muslims together and I think that we just started this journey of unification and we still have a lot to do under his leadership."
Imam Munir El Kassem, London Ontario, Canada
Wonder what Ruscitti was afraid of?

Very good research, Rory. There has to be good, solid research writing about the terrorist-sympathizers, within and outside of Islamic circles. The London "Free Press" apparently beieves that the dhimmi attitude -- of looking away at problems -- is the best route to take for newpapers. I thought newspapers ought to be inquisitive. The "Free Press" is not that free -- and shames itself.
(Rory Leishman is a colleague of mine at the Canadian Centre for Policy Studies).
This is all too typical and why we have the RCMP and the City of Mississauga giving out awards to committed Jihadi's at youngmuslims.ca.
Well, i guess it's maybe obvious, but it sure sounds like Ruscitti is afraid of the resentment of local "Islamovictims", as are the MSM and Jack Layton-type political "leaders". They are afraid that this resentment implies some potential violence and yet do nothing but attempt to appease it, even when it's obvious that will only deepen the tacit moral blackmail. And they justify it in righteous posturing because this is the religion of white guilt, presently our dominant public religion.
That is an accurate summation Trupeers, it is a righteous cowardice.
truepeers
well put.
It would seem that some of the more "edgy" insurance companies are missing out on a real goldmine: low premium jihad attack insurance for cowardly companies and city admins, etc. afraid of their own shadows.
I think Mississauga gives awards to jihadis in honour of Mayor Hazel being Mo's last surviving wife.
truepeers: " ... the religion of white guilt, presently our dominant public religion"
BIN-GO!
White guilt goes hand in hand with "multiculturalism." What a weasel word that is, along with the subversive agenda it's spawned.
'Time for push back, folks.
And, hallelujah!, I see it happening here in Toronto, The Multicultural Mecca of the World.
Torontonians aren't racist at all. We welcome everyone -- BUT, if you come here from somewhere else, don't count on your -- and your five wives and the rest of your family -- arriving here and, next week, going on the dole. Pull your weight, take care of your own, participate in your community and WELCOME IN!
Otherwise, fawgettaboutit. The rest of us have enough expenses to deal with, without having to foot your bills as well.
We need to redefine "multiculturalism" so that it doesn't mean white = bad and you pay; visible minorities = good and we pay you cash for life.
The sad news is you and your 10 wives can go on the dole in TO, polygamy is legal in Ontario if the "marriages" were sanctified in the sort of armpit of a nation that sanctifies such barbarianism.
IMO Dr. Munir El -Kassem is a bit too close to the MB for the likes of said newspaper editor. Likely, not much different than many stories, editors, publishers in Canada afraid to offend the ROP or risk an attack by the Brown shirts of the CHRC.
The proximity of the ROP is making this free speecher reconsider his position in light of a possible fatwa. There's always the old 'nice newspaper you have here shame if anything were to happen to it' ploy.
