"If Muslims want to believe what ignorant medieval European Christians believed -- that interest and usury are bad -- more power to them. And if other Muslims want to believe that the interest they pay on their credit card or mortgage isn't really interest but something exactly like interest yet called something else and therefore not harem but halal -- well, knock yourself out with that.
