Reader mail: Dear Mr Fraser....
A reader currently serving in Afghanistan wrote to Dalton McGuinty's Dim Bulb EA John Fraser over this latest instance of elitist overreach by a member of our "Political Class"
...
Dear Mr Fraser,
One can only thank the likes of blogger's like BCF and his wife, for whom many in my battalion read on on a regular basis. I've pondered your words “I think we can agree that free speech and the right to assemble are both a privilege and a cornerstone of our democracy."
To which, as I drink a large glass of Mr.Walker after completion of a patrol, I think, thank god, I've not lost any men. I wonder how I could use your words as a motivational spearhead. Perhaps these words, your words in fact sir, would be; could be used as motivation prior to departing on our next tip toe through the the tulips.
One can not even imagine the sheer delight, as I try in many ways to convey to my troops that free speech and the right to assemble are a privilege. I think perhaps, Ms. Jodoin requires a platoon of Canadian soldiers at her next lawfull demonstration and perhaps you would consider explaining to us in person, how such privileges became privileges.
Regards,

Rank - Your not privileged enough to know it

Poignant.
Socialist elitists. They think we enjoy free speech because it is dispensed at their behest. Meanwhile they are entitled to their entitlements.
Keep up the good fight soldier. Your sacrifices are appreciated by your fellow Canadians who are true lovers of freedom. Thankyou.
I guess our brave troops haven't heard, yet, that free speech is an American concept, and our snivel servants don't give it any value. I have the deep urge to exercise my 'privilege' on behalf of our troops by shoving a combat boot somewhere Mr. Fraser would not enjoy very much.
Politician = Sickness
Thank you for letting people know just how arrogant and patronizing these champagne socialists truly are!
And thanks to the brave reader currently serving in Afghanistan: on both counts. If I ever get a chance, a large glass of Mr. Walker will be on me!
Thanks, soldier, for defending our freedoms here and there. I'm sorry you have such idiots here at home, who don't know their ass from a tea kettle and have no real concept of what our military is doing.
They're entitled, useful idiots, who make your job so much harder. It would be nice to think that they were covering your back when, in fact, they're a huge part of the problem you're battling: invincible ignorance.
An outstanding take down of an arrogant and ignorant politico. A thing of beauty!
Yes a classic!
