A Heartfelt Thanks To All For Your Support Of Blazingcatfur

Thank you all,

I wish to express my gratitude to all of my readers and to all of the bloggers who have supported our fundraising drive. The lawsuit launched against me by Richard Warman is an effort to stifle  public debate of Section 13(1) and its less than admirable administration by the "gone rogue" Canadian Human Rights Commission, a debate that is clearly in the public interest.

Section 13 (1) is currently under judicial review, a victory that in large part is the result of efforts initiated by bloggers to bring this threat to Free Speech to the public's attention.

I can continue to publish thanks to your support and generosity.

If you haven't yet made a donation please consider doing so. Your help is needed and appreciated, it's a long battle but we will triumph. If you can, make a small donation via Paypal by hitting the "Feed the Kitty" icon on the sidebar. If you don't "do" the Paypal thing you can send an e-mail internet banking transfer to blazingcatfur@gmail.com.

Glad to help. I'm amazed at the great coverage you and "Furyousity" bring to such a wide range of stuff lost beneath the radar elsewhere.

Cheque will be in the mail today ...

Thanks Guys we really appreciate your support!

BCF:
I have appreciate your investigative work -- work the MSM is either too lazy, to lacking in any inquisitive spirit, or too politiclaly correct to do on their own.

I do not know how to use the PAYPAL thingy, so I will be sending a cheque in the mail. I encourage others to do the same. Even if it is a small amount, every donation helps.

Btw: there should be laws passed to ensure that nuisance lawsuits are punished in somne way -- such has having the professional law-suiter pay for court costs, etc.

Fenris Badwulf  – (12:35 PM)

I come from a post-Christian Pagan culture: it is politically correct, as it is not Christian. I am a follower of Set, the Snake God.

In my culture, we would invoke evil spirits to vex the whoever you found most responsible, according to your budget. Why give money to lawyers, when more traditional methods are more effective? Perhaps you should horde this money; call it prize money.

Something lucky might happen. Go shaft the lawyer. Sit back, watch movies with friends for an alibi.

Someone should make sure that Richard Warman, Babs Hall, and Jennifer Lynch see this YouTube video on the reasons CHRCs should be abolished:

Akaash Maharaj: The Rights of Vulgar Little Cowards

Canadian Human Rights Commissions: why Parliament should not renew their mandate to regulate public expression.

Thanks for that BatB! Great video!

BCF, what I find curious is if Congo Boy is basing his SLAP suit on having web site links; that matter was settled in 1997. (namely, you can link to what you god-well please.)

Michael Geist is the go-to guy on this matter and I don't think he would be too happy to learn about some jerk-off trying to mess with this long-dead-and-buried "basic right"

In point of fact, this is a much bigger issue having to do with anyone who values freedom and control of the Internet.

Blazing Cat Fur  – (2:18 PM)

Unfortunately there's no easy out, like the CHRC the process is designed to be the punishment.

Paul  – (2:32 PM)

... what Congo Boy is trying to do affects anyone who values freedom and the Internet. It's a way bigger issue than just a CHRC matter.

Might want to consider kicking up a shit-storm and get some Internet groups behind this cuz that's how egregious this steaming pile of pastoral manure really is.

Cheque will be in the mail on Monday. We cons have to stick together, less chance of being picked off politically one by one. Okay that's not working out so well.

I don't understand how you can sue a secondary source via a link for libel but not sue the person who wrote the alleged libel?

Blazing Cat Fur  – (8:24 PM)

64 dollar question Rose;)

Paul  – (10:16 PM)

Rose, Henry V had a few words on the matter.

"That he which hath no stomach to this fight,
Let him depart; his passport shall be made
And crowns for convoy put into his purse:
We would not die in that man's company
That fears his fellowship to die with us...

Old men forget: yet all shall be forgot,
But he'll remember with advantages
What feats he did that day: then shall our names
Familiar in his mouth as household words
Harry the King, Bedford and Exeter,
Warwick and Talbot, Salisbury and Gloucester,
Be in their flowing cups freshly remember'd.
This story shall the good man teach his son
And Crispin Crispian shall ne'er go by,
From this day to the ending of the world,
But we in it shall be remember'd;
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he today that shed his blood with me
Shall be my brother."

BCF:

The cheque will be sent; do I address the letter (i.e. envelope) to Christopher Ashby?

Good luck.

Blazing Cat Fur  – (2:45 PM)

Thanks John B, that's very generous of you.
