In Canada, the criminalization of free speech

It's a good thing when friends care enough to notice you're engaged in self-harming activities, then carefully point them out, giving you an opportunity to correct yourself. Question is, why aren't we sufficiently aware ourselves, to take the necessary corrective action on our own?
Too much flew under the radar, no one envisioned that Section 13 or hate speech laws would be used against Jews and others fighting Islamists and their enablers.
It's not because Canadians can't, it's because they won't...a big difference. But I seem to see that more and more are waking up and following the good example of Ezra and Mark and Five Feet and BCF.
I saw this coming years ago - I quit working for the CJC when they started focussing on using the Criminal Code and and other 'hate speech' provisions to go after plonkers like Zundel. They had no appreciation of the principle of free speech, nor had they apparently heard of the expression 'The biter bit'.
I never understood why they made a martyr out of a nobody with a construction helmet. I see Grant Bistrow chimed in with a letter lauding the CJC recently - when you have allies like him your time is up.

I mean when has Canada ever been a hot bed for racism or war? Why did we even need quota systems?
