To the Right Honourable Vic Toews:

In your roll as Minister of Public Safety for Canada, and as my Member of Parliament, I am asking you and the Government of Canada to not let Omar Khadr return to Canada to serve out his sentence for murder.

Omar Khadr has shown no remorse for his actions; has not denounced the life of violence he has lived; and does not adhere to any of the values that make Canada a country I am proud to be a citizen of.

If your read the column written by lawyer Ezra Levant, that was published in the SUN chain of newspapers on October 31, 2010, there are legal grounds available to Canada to reject the return of Omar Khadr. I provide a link to Mr. Levant's column here.

Mr. Minister, I urge you to advocate to the caucus of the Conservative Party of Canada to take all actions necessary to prevent the return of Omar Khadr to Canada. I fear for my Canada, and all Her citizens if Omar Khadr is allowed to return to Canada. He is, himself, a violent threat to all who oppose his fanatical beliefs, and his presence in Canada will likely be used to promote more home-grown jihadi action against our Country. Canada must make a firm stand to denounce and fight terrorism, and by denying the return to Canada of Omar Khadr, Canada will be making a firm statement to the rest of the world.

I trust Mr. Minister you will treat my e-mail, and all similar ones you receive, with the utmost seriousness and sincerity.

A good time was had by all!

We had the pleasure of attending last nights tribute dinner For Ezra Levant, a sold out event hosted by the Canadian Centre for Policy Studies. The evening featured a rousing talk by Mark Steyn that had everyone on their feet. Father Raymond de Souza also spoke and much to our surprise noted that on meeting Ezra when both were still high school students he observed that EZ was "not lacking in any measure of self-esteem". Well I'll be!

Richard Warman Sues Blazingcatfur For Linking To "Far Right" Mark Steyn

About 18 months ago everybody's favourite Ex-Canadian Human Rights Commission employee Richard Warman launched one of his many, as in very many, SLAPP suits against yours truly for, among other dastardly deeds, linking to the "far-right web site http://www.steynonline.com/". Sheesh everybody knows Mark Steyn is controversial.

It gets better. I'm also being sued for linking to a web site while specifically referring to "the allegations" against Richard Warman. But what else would you expect from Warman, a man so tone deaf he actually believed he could win the support of both the Canadian Jewish Congress and B'nai Brith to file a hate crime complaint against the Jewish Defense League, who had dared offend him by showing the Geert Wilders film "Fitna".

Warman is also suing for comments made by multiple readers. In one instance for the heinous crime of calling him a "Bully". We all know what this SLAPP suit is really all about. Warman is using every lawfare tactic he can to prevent a discussion in the public interest of Section 13 (1) and the CHRC. A discussion in which he must feature prominently.

Warman is suing me for $500,000.00 Dollars. A ridiculous amount for an equally ridiculous lawsuit. Nonetheless even nuisance suits such as this must be defended against. To date legal fees have run me about 10K. I've covered that from my own pocket. I am now asking for your help. I know times are hard for many of us but if every reader who visited daily were to contribute 5 or 10 dollars then that would go a long way to helping all of us out.

This is your fight too, well except for the lawyer stuff anyway;)

RCMP Ordered To Stop Cozying Up To Islamofascists & Look Up "Diversity" In Dictionary

OTTAWA - The RCMP have been told to drop any participation in a “peace” conference scheduled for Thursday night in Ottawa.

The RCMP’s “ethnic liaison office” was promoting the event to members of the national force and one of the participants is a member of the Mounties' cultural diversity committee. On Wednesday, Public Safety Minister Vic Toews told the Mounties to have nothing to do with events promoting hatred.

“As soon as I learned about this event I asked the RCMP to explain its involvement. I have asked it to immediately cease any participation,” Toews told the Commons.

“Let me be clear. Canada’s national police force must have no involvement in any event organized by those who promote extremism and hatred.”

Laura's recent Pajamas Media article ("No, Professor Ahmed, the Founders Were Not So Fond of Islam") had such an impact that yesterday she was attacked by name in an opinion piece published in the Washington Post.

The Washington Post article is by Frankie Martin, an associate of Professor Ahmed. Martin attempts a refutation of Laura's article. Perhaps sensing the weakness of his own article, Martin fills it with ad hominem.

Robert Spencer recently wrote:

The comparison is more than just obscene; it is antisemitic. And that's not just a matter of opinion. Comparisons of Israeli policy and actions to the Nazis fit the European Union and U.S. State Department working definitions of antisemitism.
To top it off, the Warsaw Ghetto images were used without appropriate permission from the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. The Museum is aware of the problem and is taking appropriate action.

Most vendors will have no idea that ADBUSTERS offers such disgusting content and we think you should tell them.

My efforts to cooperate with you have not even been met with the courtesy of a response.

Now, my mother has told me that legal representatives of the ~~REDACTED~~ campaign have been repeatedly harassing her.

This is completely unacceptable. In over 15 years of political involvement, I have never seen anything so low as harassing a woman in order to intimidate her son into refraining from exercising his right to participate in our democratic process, particularly after his allegations have shown to be completely accurate.

My mother is sick. This is the last thing she needs and I must insist that you direct this harassment to cease immediately. (You have been identified to me as the person in charge of ~~REDACTED~~ legal response. If this is not the case, kindly refer me to whomever is responsible.).

I think that you've already seen the level of vitriol of which I'm capable on a good day. I can assure you that you don't want to see what I'm capable of when you choose to involve my family. Should she receive one more harassing phone call on behalf of your campaign's legal team, the consequences will be severe.

My offer to discuss the concerns you may have about my writing continues to stand. I am available until mid-afternoon, at which time I'll be leaving to observe the Sabbath. I hope it goes without saying that legal harassment against my family or I over the Sabbath will not be well received.

A phone poll conducted Oct 17th and 18th in city wards 9 and 10 ("North York") shows Rob Ford with a sizable lead. The poll was conducted by a candidate for electoral office not running in the mayoralty race.

Total responses: 598

Ford: 264 of which - 224 will vote on eday - 44.1% of total votes, 84.8% commitment to vote on eday

Smitherman: 156 of which - 132 will vote on eday : 26.1% of total votes, 84.6% commitment to vote on eday

Pantalone: 48 of which - 36 will vote on eday - 8% of total votes, 75% commitment to vote on eday

Undecided: 130 of which - 72 will vote on eday - 21.7%, 55.4% commitment to vote on eday.

I have studied the materials emailed to me with respect to allegations of an endorsement of Mr. Smitherman from an anti Israel group. The blog jmortonmusings defends Mr. Smitherman. The blog jmortonmusings attacks claims made by blogger Radio Free Canada. The blog jmortonmusings provides links to 'progressive' groups. One such 'progressive group is the ARA. This group strongly associates with anti Israel groups. In fact, the ADL list the ARA as an anti Israel group.

It is my position as National Director of the Jewish Defence League of Canada that the blogger has provided accurate information about the race for mayor of Toronto. It should be a major concern to all members of the Jewish Community to review all blogs and 'progressive' groups that support Mr. Smitherman with respect to anti Israel platforms.

Many so called 'progressive' groups are anti Israel. Please forward this message.

The findings have a margin of error of 3.1 per cent.

However I made a promise not to publish to someone who has earned my respect and I am waiting for a specific organization to have its name removed from the group's site. I am assured the group's name will be removed, sparing a huge potential embarassment to the gravy train loving members of one of Toronto's official communities. I am appalled that this organization would ally itself against Ford with some of the "characters" involved. I'm certain many members of the community would be equally incensed.
