Orange Light District?
The incomparable Binks;)
Update: In typical fashion the CBC announces that the leak of the Police Notes will be investigated rather than report that Jack Layton was found naked in a whorehouse.
Upperdate: I wonder what the Khomeinists have on Jack
Uppitydate: Jonathan kay is tweeting that a Liberal Fixer shopped him the story 2 years ago, however the source was not talking and Kay'ss access to info requests were denied. so he declined to pursue it at that time.
Funny comment I saw on a Globe column. The commenters there are talking about it even if the editors and reporters aren't:
Have you seen the new NDP signs in Chinatown? Interesting!
"WE'RE PULLIN' FOR JACK!"
Ha an instant classic!
Ya I saw that was just gonna post it. Good one !!
I think a "we're pulling for Jack" sign in a massage parlour composite would be a good venue for your considerable artistis talents, BCF!
The anti-Conservative media complex (CBC News, CTV News, the Globe and Mail) refused to report the Sun story in detail, or at all. The corrupt complex are only reporting Layton's reaction to it.
Breach of trust? I guess what this refers to is that it is a "crime" to report on actual police investigations -- but it is not a crime to purposely hushing it up. The anti-Conservative media complex think it is best to hush up organized crime activities.
Btw: read today's Sun. There lot's of stuff on Toronto's red light district -- four stories in all.
It is a truly pathetic display by the MSM David.
It's Layton's Eliot Spitzer-like hypocrisy that really rankles--how, at the same time that he was railing against the wages of the sing of lap-dancing, he was slinking down to Chinatown for a sleazy appointment with a chicken-choker, er, sorry, "therapeutic masseuse." (BTW, the median salary of a Canadian masseuse is $10 -$36/hr: http://www.google.ca/search?q=maxime+bernier&hl=en
The professionals in the place Jack patronized were said to be "pulling in $600 to $700 for a couple hours work."
Everybody sing:
Everybody was Kung Fu rubbing.
Those gals gave some good tugging.
In fact if Olivia's words you're believin'
It was quite stress-relievin'...
As some other commentator was mentioning, the really troubling part is that it's no big secret that like most vice crimes, the only way the sex slave business operates is through powerful organized crime syndicates keeping some semblance of order in their operations.
It really isn't much of a stretch to assume that photographs are taken and used to blackmail powerful politicians to further criminal activities. Or worse, in the case of any Chinese government involvement or relationship with these same Chinese crime gangs running the global yellow sex slave racket.
Lest we forget: http://scaramouchee.blogspot.com/2011/04/lest-we-forget.html
... interesting, I did forget about that COSMO thing.
Might also explain why Olivia Chow was so aggressive in backing George Galloway coming to Canada.
[she most certainly would be aware of any trouble Jack got himself into. Crime being the craft of criminals, it's also not a stretch that sleaze-ball Jack's peccadilloes would be sold to the highest bidder, as in, to the Irangatangs.]
I wonder what the Khomeinists have on him! Thanks Scaramouche!
Paul - that is the key thing here.
I really don't care if Layton got a massage with or without a 'happy ending'. What I DO care about is that he contributed directly to the sexual enslavement of these women by organized crime!
And given Mr. Layton was a city councillor actively involved in an anti-lap dancing campaign and no doubt thoroughly familiar with the city's battles against the spread of massage parlours. There is no way he can credibly claim to have been naive about the nature of the establishment he frequented.
Chow chow said "Sixteen years ago my husband went for a massage at a massage clinic that is registered with the city of Toronto."
It should be easy enough to verify that, right - was 787 Dundas West reguistered with the City of Toronto ?
Apparently we've found the chink in Jack's armour....
"What do you mean it's a house of ill-repute?"
"Well, Mr. Layton, that means it's a...Ummmm...place one receives, like, sexual favours. And one has to pay for it."
"I'm here to receive a theraputic massage. This girl is a massage therapist and, just because she's naked doesn't mean anything. I mean, she likes to work unhindered by clothing."
"OK, Jack but you're naked too. I mean, that kinda seems strange, dontcha think?"
"Not really. My massage therapist is checking my rather manly, hairy body to find out which area needs a massage. You don't think I would let her do anything that is against the law! I mean, I'm Jack Layton!! I ride a bicycle! That said would you do me a favour?"
"What's that?"
Don't tell Olivia. Oh, and the press and my mother."
Jack is that you!
sanwin asked, 'was 787 Dundas West registered with the City of Toronto ?' nice catch.
the beauty of chow's statement is that it says nothing, so it can't be refuted. that address is registered with the city in dozens of ways: licences, tax rolls, water and hydro services, etc. heck, the property's owner even has a deed that's registered with the province of ontario. the breadth and depth of the operation's legitimacy is truly impressive, is it not?
If the joint isn't really a licensed professional physiotherapy and rehabilitation clinic, that's easy to prove. but chow never directly claimed that it was - in her bid to redeem jack u. layton's credibility, she said only that it was 'registered.'
ah politispeak, will thy vague wonders never cease?
