The Amazing Unedited Apology Of Vancouver Rioter Camille Cacnio
This is an amazing piece. It is the original apology posted by Miss Cacnio which she has since "disappeared".
It quickly devolves from apology to full blown victimhood in the span of a few paragraphs, with asides on her belief in "Ecology & Sustainability" (she tried to save trees during the riot proving she's a good person) coupled with a bizarre outburst of feminist bravado:
"Here’s another thing that bothers me: why is everybody so surprised that a female partook in the riot? What is with this attitude that females are incapable of doing what men can do? Maybe it takes an event like this to show you misogynists that woman are fully capable of anything you can do.".
Miss Cacnio finishes with flair by launching attacks on her detractors and all those who have disowned her. Our remorseful rioter asserts that looting is forgivable if you're not burning cars. Perhaps, but her original apology is another matter entirely.

These guys seem to have alter-egos completely divorced from who they are and who their characters are.

There have been bad women in the world ever since there have been people. The story of Adam and Eve comes to mind. We don't need to boast about the fact that women can commit nearly any kind of wrongdoing that men can commit (with the exception of forcible rape with penile penetration).
People whose moral compass has gotten completely out of whack feel that they have to "excel" at SOMETHING. But since they have a faulty and confused understanding of good, they have no hope of being able to excel at that, so they go for evil instead.

What bothers me as much as apologies like Camille Cacnio's is comments posted like this: "The large majority - when young - got drunk and did stupid things and almost none of them got caught" or "There were tens of thousands of people who were 'part of the mob' - so unless all of them will be charged, let us put that aside and look at the basics. On a criminal scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the idiots who attacked police and firemen, Camille's crime rated a 2 (max)."
The guy who posted these comments is over 50. Is it any wonder kids today act the way they do? They get a pass every time.
You know how you have to train a dog? 'Same tactics apply, except maybe not such a good idea to hit a kid on the nose: Their bums are far better and when they're toddlers, their bums are padded. (I only had to swat my kid's bums a couple of times and, believe me, they got the message.) Tough love's the only thing that works if you want civilized kids.
I remember being told how I had brought shame & embarassment to the family by my mother when she was summoned to meet with my elementary school principal over some transgression I had committed.
I still remember the look on her face as we sat in the office, nothing the principal could do could possibly match the fury that awaited.
