Dyke March - Palestine Solidarity Contingent

Please join Dykes & Trans People for Palestine (DTPP) as we march together in solidarity with Queers in Palestine & against Israeli Apartheid!
Bring your noisemakers, signs, banners, & spirit of peaceful protest - but most especially, bring yourself! We will congregate in the Parkette at 1:30 pm on Saturday July 2, prior to the start of the Dyke March which leaves at 2 pm.
If it's a hot day, be sure to bring lots of water, a hat, & sun screen.

The humorous part is that they would be beaten and jailed for this protest in any Arab state. Not because of the protest per se, but because of their sexual orientation.
In Israel, not so much.
They can't seem to get that through their heads, anti-semitism requires a very thick skull evidently.
Fill the counter-water cannons with cherry Kool-aid.

Notice it says it is not a parade but rather a march, a political demonstration. You got to wonder if this is the loophole that Pride will use to justify and secure funding after the event. It would seem that Pride could go to the OHRT if funding is denied arguing their Charter Right - political dissent was breached.

In order to have their "march" did they apply for a "parade" permit? If so, the "march" excuse won't fly.
So they're encouraged to bring their "noisemakers," but also their spirit of "peaceful" protest? So does that mean Toronto residents can stone the first idiot who whips out a vuvuzela? Because I would consider the assault on my eardrums as being contrary to the spirit of peaceful protest. Am I alone?
PS - This comment does not in any way condone stoning. The Palestinian Arabs they're marching in support of, however, would be all too happy to do so.

I think they'll be whipping out more than vuvuzela's during the parades this weekend. It's all fun and games till someone gets an eye poked out. ;)
Interesting that according to this groups FB page, which is the only info I could find on them online, it clearly says that this was a march planned for last years Dyke March and not this years, 2011 Dyke March. However someone has changed the date and time from last years date and time as mentioned on their FB page to the correct date and time of this years Dyke March. What evidence do you base your assertion on that this group will be marching in the 2011 Dyke March? By all accounts that can be found online they only marched last year, yet someone did change the date and time for the correct date and time of this years march indicating that this is nothing but provocation made up by whoever originated this story. I encourage people to check out this group online themselves.
