Scaramouche, Sassywire and I were asked not to film Muslim women by A Queens Park Security Guard at the behest of Crazed CUPE member Ali Mallah at today's Al Quds Day Rally. A rally sponsored by the David Duke Luvin Khomeinists of CASMO.
The security guard, bless her heart, had no idea what a Hezbollah Flag looked like until I educated her. Hilarity ensued as they say. Seeing we would not back down and continued filming the Hezbollah Flag Waving Muslima's, the Sharia Guard enlisted the aid of a Police Officer who had the good sense to inform us of her effort and confirmed we were well within our rights.
Blood Libels such as "The Zionist Regime Steals The World's Resources For Their Own Use" are copacetic with the security guardian however. Yea CASMO that's on tape.
Oh and guess who showed up? Little Miss Muslima from the TDSB Islam Prayer rally's - you're on tape sweety.

Just watched your vid. I'm not happy. The fact that the cops came up and questioned instead of just off handedly realizing that this is a public place and that anybody and film or protest gets my goat.
I marched troops up to those steps in the summer of 2009 for a parade, and we had to march by protesters holding signs and turning their backs to us, and no cops were harassing them or the people filming them.

Should I assume that this group had a permit to hold this event at Queen's Park? Would the Toronto Police and or the province be responsible for approving the permit? Now, the concerns that were expressed about this group were well founded. City of Toronto now will has photo evidence thanks to BCF, Scaramouche and Sassywire. They also will have evidence of Charter rights being infringed upon by the government in the form of the security guard. Did the security guard's supervisor direct her to interfere with freedom of expression and freedom of dissent charter protected rights. Does Queen's Park have policies, procedures and training that given them the right to silence and attempt to criminalize view that dissent from the government. This is event needs to be investigated because left unchallenged it sends the message that Queen's Park allows and supports campaigns against Israel, and referring to Israel as an apartheid state a term that came out of Durban I the Hate Fest. So the question remains why did the McGuinty government allow the Durban I Hate Fest take place on it front lawn?

I've had my fair share of exchanges with her, both in person and via the internet. She strikes me as being nice person, albeit somewhat naive. Whatever she's honest or not is something I am not able to determine though.

I encourage you to put in a good word for the officer at the police service. We should recognize and encourage his understanding of our basic freedoms.

While I hate to be picky, you made an error in even arguing with the radical Muslims, which makes an implicit assumption that you need their agreement in any sense to videotape them in a public park. If they politely ask you to stop, you tell them that you are politely declining their request. Smile while you do it. If they order you to stop, tell them politely they have no authority over you, shoo! Say it in a calm voice. If they threaten to have you arrested, tell them to do so, shoo! If they vaguely threaten you, ask them directly if that is a threat. Look them in the eye and ask them to specify exactly what they are threatening to do to the camera, then tell them to carry out their threat. Radical punks are stumped when you call their bluff and you get great footage.
Remember, never negotiate with radicals over anything you do. The minute you start arguing with them, you're conceding you need their approval, which means they've won half the rhetorical battle. Keep focused on what you want to do and where you want to go. Don't let them direct or steer you anywhere.
Good advice however, we were arguing with a non muslim special constable responsible for security at Queen's Park.
