The ummah is a concept very foreign to 90 percent of the infidel world. Understanding the importance of the ummah in Islam is paramount to understanding why they don't integrate into any western host country. And when one looks at it in terms of a country without borders it explains more clearly stealth Jihad. If one looks at the US for example it has a military (including reserves) of 3,000,000 which represents 1% of their population. Polls show us that all over the world Muslims support violent Jihad in low numbers anywhere from 3% to 25% depending on what region, and those percentages are often used to show how the violent radicals are a tiny minority, along with support, so....don’t blow the threat out of proportions. Well, seems to me that if the US is the most powerful nation on earth with a military of 1% from their population, why should we not worry about the ummah and their military coming in at a, much, much, much higher percentage probably averaging over 10 times the percentage. Of course this makes no sense at all without the understanding what the ummah is and its importance.
The ummah takes precedence over all, one more reason militant Islam is not a good fit for western democracies.
No we won't have to resort to that. Stricter immigration controls and a policy of containment should handle militant islamists. Virtually ever Islamic nation with the possible exception of the OIl Rich nations are failed states offering no immediate threat beyond their own borders and those unfortunate nations bordering such states. These failed islamic states habitually kill more mulsims than anyone else.

No. Muslims believe that no matter how vile their behavior by normal civilized standards, they are always "the best of peoples." Being Muslim means not having to be a decent person.
