"Suddenly, a woman wearing a hijab ran toward me. She was part of a group that included two women wearing full face-covering burkas. She was screaming: “We are Muslim! You do not take pictures of us!” (Odd. I can’t find the “no photos” rule in the Qur’an.)
I informed the lady I was in a public square in a democracy. I can actually take pictures of whomever I please.
My son and I were then surrounded by a mob of about 20 people, many of whom were speaking Arabic. One kept demanding I surrender my camera to him."

This makes me think of the case in Australia where after the face vailed woman was let off because her identity could not be established. If charges are laid, and it proceeds to court how would the identity be established? But it's good to know that the Metro police have now shown us that they have the authority to take away public space and give it to a religous group. It's also good to know that Metro police allow ethnic assaults on the person and personal property. I thought the rule of law made us all equal before the law, but again I guess it doesn't. I'd really like to know, what law allows anyone to hit or destroy property?
The police are not your friend. They are not their to protect you but rather to enforce the will of their political masters. This case and Caledonia have demonstrated that they are simply one more item in the PC toolbox.

From what I understand the reason why these women wear a full faced veil is brcause it is related to a modest code and they say they feel naked when their face is exposed. But how does modesty give the right to assault another person and their property. This modesty literally gives them cover for a criminal act. I do not believe that Canadians have consented to this kind of tyranny. Oh, I'm guessing the woman in the article would not have smacked a Muslim man and his property.

A written complaint to Mayor Ford re our "boys on bikes" would be a good place to start. It would be interesting to find out where their "rules of muslim engagement" originate. Seems obvious there are Blairites up the line who make sure any cop trying to do decent work will be "looked at".
I don't understand why the assault victim did not immediately go to the nearest police station and file a complaint against the officer.

Dad is holding the camera and the four or five women are all lined up in identical black potato sacks, tip to toe. We can ask, why bother? but the reason is only available to those into the cult. The second case may suggest why the police officer did not lay charges:

I had a photographer friend once - he was a Shiite, and agonized to me about the prohibition against photography, a bright, talented, educated young man. This pre-medieval mentality is torture for those people who might make something of themselves.
It's also worth remembering that militant muslims delight in turning areas of their cities into "no-go" zones, where law enforcement treads lightly, if at all - are they intending to do that with Yonge and Dundas, the centre of the city's downtown?

Does religous accommodation extend to denying a charter right the one about freedom of expression e.g. taking a photo? Here is another example of a secular public space adhering to a religious code. If Ontario police forces are now adhering to a policy for religious accommodation in the public square, it then is there responsibility to inform all citizens about this policing change. I doubt that citizens have consented to the police restricting their freedom of expression rights. Um this does raise an interesting question for the MSM do you submit to this religious accommodation and how about the police camera that filmed the event?
Since Menzies has the badge numbers / names of the TWO cops involved, and he mentioned them several times this morning, I think this should be an easy one for the useless cops under Chief Idiot Blair to solve.

I travel to Morocco and Tunisa regularly, taking photos is not a problem. This is just an example of how radicals and sensitivities are great over in the West than in the real and actual Muslim world. The joke in Morocco now a days is that the West took all their garbage, meaning that radicals such as Salafists seem to be tolerated overseas but are not back home. Maybe Menzies should have called it in. Then there would have been a record inputted and the officers who were dispatched would have had to make notes and file a report. To paraphrase Sam Goldwyn, "a verbal complaint ain't worth the paper it's printed on"--especially if it's made to a cop on a bike enjoying the sun. 1. Mr Menzies should sue, if he knows the name of the offending Muslim. Private lawsuits should be used, if the corrupt, racist police refuse to enter criminal charges.

The mayor doesn't know me from Adam, so I'm getting the "tempered," legal phrases, as you point out.
Behind the scenes, things could be much different.
He's got an open and shut case that the cops violated his chartered rights, and second he can file criminal charges against her without the cops support and have their investigative notes seized once the complaint of assult is filed. The courts ruled that when the cops, even unwillingly, violate our chartered rights they are libel for financial awards. If this can happen to a journalist the court of public opinion have no options but be beaten by the Islamists sans rule of law.

Muslims seem to be every where in Europe and in Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
In Canada the Muslims are moving EVERYWHERE. My son recently took a cab in Iqaluit and the driver was from Pakistan. In my my smallish town in western Canada Muslims are arriving by the dozens to attend the small university here. Many of them bring wives and the wives are having babies here. A lot of them are Saudis. The university loves it because they charge foreign students a lot of money and can make a profit that will allow them to, say, hire a few more useless vice-presidents or diversity officers. This is happening at universities all across Canada.
The US doesn't have as many Muslims (per capita) but they are having other sorts of problems with illegals coming over their southern border. Basically all the desirable countries are slowly becoming less desirable. Apparently the elite powers who decide such things will not stop immigration no matter what. I suppose it will stop on its own when the "good" countries are just as screwed up as the bad countries.

I went to a large park we always visited when I was young, and it was now FULL of muslims. I don't mind muslims, but this was weird. It is a very large park, and every single pick nick spot was taken by a few families of muslims. It is a LARGE park. I smiled but they wouldn't look at me (I am a dirty kaffir). I never even saw a muslim until about ten or 1 years ago.

It 's proper manners in western cultures to ask "May I take your picture?" prior to snapping a film of someone one. Especially if the subject doesn't even know you. Really?? This is basic etiquette. I'm just wondering if you would have disrespected a group of non Muslims in such a way?? Probably not. The physical assault was absolutely uncalled for, the fact that we are Muslims....irrelevant. You sir however, have no manners and need to grow up.
It is my understanding the lunatics were not the subject of the photo but merely part of a larger scene being photographed. So STFU.

Ha! I love it. I must admit I get more of my news from right-thinking blogs than the CBC, The Ottawa Citizen or the Toronto Star so you have a point.
Well if any positive can come from this it is that David Menzies will not let this go... he will pursue all avenues to bring justice and awareness to the double standard and he never worries about being politically correct.
