"While we may hope some are capable of bridging the gap between principled morality and this ethically vacuous relativism, it is evident that a good many are not. For them, the overriding message is “never judge, never criticize, never take a position.”

I am suddenly reminded of the old adage, "Evil succeeds when good people do nothing" And that especially true of cultural relativism where the politically correct teach our children that no culture is superior to another. That mode of thinking killed three girls and their stepmother in Kingston and it won't be the last if cultural relativism persists.
If children of that age have already been indoctrinated into cultural marxism and cultural relativity and the multi culturalism myth, it does not bode well for the future of European "white" society at all.
This is another good reason to have the HRC's dismantled before the damage is irreversible.

We have raised a lost generation, maybe this sort of indoctrination explains the Vancouver riots. Recall Camille Cacnio who sought to demonstrate what a "good person" she was for having "saved a tree" during the riot? She had barely a word of of remorse over having looted a man's store and destroying his life's work and livelihood.
That mode of thinking very likely caused the front line workers of various social agencies to cower in fear and not report what they, at the least, had to suspect.
I must say this is a very sad story. How do we turn this ship around?
OISE has to be destroyed. A school voucher system is another part of the answer. First and foremost parents have to take back the power & responsibility they've given up to the school boards, and certainly not least the teachers union has to be ground into dust. It will be difficult given we do not have a conservative party in Ontario. We have to look at the Reform Ontario and the others and build anew.

while i agree with every aspersion cast at these folks and their lefty heroes i would disagree with one point: The first step in fighting such evil is teaching ones children what evil is. I know my kids often tire of hearing me teach them but there is no risk that they will go to ANY school at any level without the knowledge and mental strength to tell the difference between such evil lies and the truth. We, as a society gave up on our children's future when we passed the responsibility for teaching them about life to the various teaching institutions.

Sorry, but unless I have misunderstood you, your linking atheists to cultural relativism is wrong on the facts. Quite the opposite. Atheists don't hate the west; atheists condemn the outcomes when theocracy replaces real democracy; atheists are very concerned about creeping sharia in the west.
Every day, the majority of people in the west live a life guided by values ("morals") that allow all of us to live together in a mostly coherent way. What drives the Islamists crazy is that people in the western nations can do this without the supremacy of religion.
We need to be much more concerned about the growing cultural relativism being the new normal (as preached by the latest crop of social engineers).

Looking back, my early educational life was mostly in the hands of nasty middle aged and older (looking back, presumably closeted lesbian) unmarrieds, ministers' wives, and a few sweet young things waiting for Mr Right, plus the occasional WWI shell shocked crossing guard quick to complain and seek physical punishment for imagined slights from his more boisterous kindergarten charges.
They all taught me much more about survival in real life than they could ever have imagined.
Maybe 20% of the sucky girls and a few misfit boys were always first in line to drink the teacher's koolaid , the rest of us reflected the general populations view that they were an affliction and mostly afflicted, but deserving of politeness at all times. What they taught was mostly to be viewed with quiet suspicion.
Times have changed, quality of education plummets down to silly indoctrination that would not have convinced a seven year old child fifty years ago.. Teachers have been given the farm by spineless and co-opted overseers and taxpayers are being ground down to pay for worthless and wasteful baby sitting.

I thought that was a very thoughtful article. The fact that it was published in the OSSTF magazine, and written by an OISE professor, shows that there must be at least some decent people in those places. It brings to mind the story of Abraham pleading with God to save Sodom and Gomorrah. "Perhaps if there were only ten righteous men in the city...."

Don't be so certain that school vouchers and home schooling are a flawless answer. I have read the Somali "refugees" that move about our nation in large groups, flooding towns when factory jobs open up and setting up a small Somalia there are "home-schooling" their children -- which means they are raising a new generation of unassimilated Somalis on our land.
