A New Year's Resolution

"It's time to make New Year's resolutions for 2012, and given the fact that America and the American ideal are in serious jeopardy both internally and externally, Americans have to resolve to do everything they legally can to make sure President Obama isn't elected to a second term in the 2012 Presidential election, to fully restore freedom of speech, freedom of expression and the rule of law in the United States, to bring the U.S. back from the financial and military abyss and to re-establish the country's standing and leadership role in the world."

I know I'm the voice of pessimism here, but given the GOP candidates, well, good luck with that...

Sigh...I know the feeling.

It's not the quality of the GOP field; it's the lack of balanced media coverage augmented by the complacent activity of 'conservative' commentators. For example, everyone knows and comments on the complete unsuitability of Gov Perry, because he forgot the title of the third Department he planned to eliminate. Yet everyone also slidesteps the inarticulateness of President Obama in the absence of his TelePrompters: when he babbles like a hippie on acid. Even Dr Paul is more accomplished than Barry.

Cheers

Anything is plausible at this point but I suspect Romney to get the nod.

Yeah, that's all fine and dandy.  But I ain't looking forward to the GOP nimrod that they'll be putting instead of Barry.  That moron Romney might get it.  No one in the conservative base wants that loser to win.

This election is going to heat up yet.  I would like to see a US leader emerge with a "fire in the belly" to turn things around for our American friends.  If obama gets re-elected, we are all in big trouble.
