I wish I could Trick or Treat again. I last did at 12, when after much deliberation and concern I might be perceived as "too old", I determined that would be the age at which to cast childish things aside. For my Last Hoorah I put extra effort into my costume and while my choice to go as a Robot was unexceptional the end result was pretty good if I do say so myself. I was rewarded accordingly, my best haul ever.

So the CBC was caught in a lie, they wanted to smear Ford so badly they clung to a story based soley on gossip. I'm not surprised at their arrogance. It appears to me that the CBC's culture has lead them to believe they alone are the guardians of the nations conscience, that they represent Canada and Canadians. That simply isn't true now, if it ever was, but it does explain the high-hat attitude we've come to expect.
I haven't watched an episode of 22 minutes in years, in fact I'm not sure if I have ever watched an entire episode. I don't tune in to their newscasts on even an occasional basis. I just don't watch the CBC. I breathed a sigh of relief when Fox news was made available, and breathed another when SunTV hit the air having long given up on the CBC's offerings, not to mention those of their competitors.
The CBC represents nothing to me beyond some fond childhood memories and a deep resentment that my taxes support a culture so at odds with my own.

If Ford's experience was anything like my own recent encounter with 911 on behalf of my Mom I can understand why he lost his cool. 911 recently changed the protocol for heart attack victims, ostensibly to better aid the EMS crew with as much information as possible.
I thought I had been assigned a trainee when I phoned. You are now put through a rigid 20 questions type regimen that to my experience is both a waste of time and may in fact risk possible delays in dispatch.
I asked one of the EMS attendants about the new protocol. The Eye Roll back said it all.
One other thing to note, have a look at the number of Anti-Ford comments at both the CBC story and on the Youtube video I posted. I smell a rat here, an orchestrated rat campaign in fact.

Last night I was told I had to have power of attorney before they could be bothered to page the Cardiologist so I could an update. I relieved the nurses of that silly notion PDQ. This was after she passed out in front of family members earlier in the day. It was due to a bad reaction to the drugs they administered the cardiologist told me.
This is the same Hospital that told me two nights ago "Hey guess what she did have a minor heart attack a couple of months ago, son of a gun". They insisted it was just angina at the time.
