Atheists Fear Mohammed

And run scurrying like cowards...

University atheist society president forced to resign after cartoon of Muhammad having a drink with Jesus is posted on Facebook

Via Sheik and Answering Muslims.

I don't see them rushing out to defend this guy either:

"An Indonesian civil servant who posted “God does not exist” on his Facebook page has been taken into police custody for his own protection after he was badly beaten.

Osumashi Kinyobe  – (9:50 PM)

Just tell militant atheists that Muslims are really Catholics who celebrate Christmas.

Soft targets always inspire the "brave".

Alain –   – (9:52 PM)

If they don't want to lose their heads they have good reason to scurry.  The same applies to feminists, gays, lesbians and a whole lot more.

BillyHW –   – (9:52 PM)

Dear Luftwaffe, please come back, all is forgiven!

Blazingcatfur –   – (9:55 PM)

How cowardly can you get?

Blazingcatfur –   – (9:55 PM)

Very appropriate.

Blazingcatfur –   – (9:55 PM)

Ah but these atheists have elected to become dhimmi's.

peter j –   – (11:21 PM)

Some people take their religion seriously and for what they get out of it...more power to them. I can never understand atheists that want to bring down others comfort in what they believe in. No matter what religion or nationality. I am not religious but that is my choise and I keep it to myself. I have no sympathy for people that get great pleasure in pissing in other peoples cornflakes. Live and let live, and in muslim countries where the brainwashing is built in.......just shut up already, or move to somewhere that accepts ragging on god. Lucky he was only beaten. Stupid twit.

The Infidel –   – (11:31 PM)

Rather interesting to note that, athiests love to whinge that Christians are not doing enough to combat islam, yet as soon as the preasure comes to bear on them, they run as fast as their little evolved primordial soup can carry them. I find the hypocracy to be midly amusing, when you believe in nothing you will fall for anything.

Blazingcatfur –   – (11:37 PM)

Primarily I find that atheists prefer softer targets. Islam is generally a must avoid for them.

Blazingcatfur –   – (11:39 PM)

If they had real courage the would stand up to militant Islam. Although to be fair local atheists did invite a Muslim to speak at a rally against the Mosqueteria last year.

Anne_from_Victoria –   – (12:41 AM)

Wondercafe members have a tendency: atheists are OK unless they insult Muslims. You can insult Christians all day, no problem, but not Muslima because they are now a new leftist protected grievance group.

Is it too much to at least ask for consistency?

The Infidel –   – (1:20 AM)

Yes, its rather easy to attack and insult those who won't cut your head or other body parts off, nor drag your body through the streets. consistent? yes its too much to ask for consistency from cowards and cowardly bullies

Durotrigan  – (6:03 AM)

Not me though BCF as well you know,  and I don't spend my time attacking Christians either.

This cartoon episode has been only one of a number of recent chilling events over the past couple of weeks involving Islamists attacking freedom of speech and expression in England. A debate on Sharia at the UCL was brought to a premature halt by the intrusion of an Islamist threatening to kill participants. He later left the hall to join a group of supporters outside. A 'Rally for Free Expression' is being planned by way of protest against these attempts to choke off freedom of thought:

Moray Watson –   – (8:21 AM)

Bullshit.

Moray Watson –   – (8:32 AM)

I thought the message of the cartoon was that if Jesus of  Nazareth and mohammed, two historical  figures who lived hundreds of years ago, were "born again" today, that nobody would be seriously promoting  them as either the son of god or as allah's prophet.  They would be nothing more than just a couple of blokes having a pint, and that we might all be better off for it.

mitchel44 –   – (9:04 AM)

Kind of a broad label, don't ya think?

After 20+ years as an atheist  in a military  uniform, solemnly affirming in situations where others would swear to whatever god their beliefs indicated, I don't recall any raised eyebrows, dirty looks or removals from any tasking or duty based on my lack of faith.  Never got me out of a church parade either and I don't ever recall scurrying away like a coward.

As both a leader and follower, there were no questions about what formed the basis for my ethical and moral standards, or where my sense of duty and pride came from, and no test of faith for positions of greater responsibility and influence.

Faith only seems to be a litmus test at certain times and while most Christians seem comfortable with the articles of their faith that state that repentant murders and pedophiles are welcome in their heaven, but someone like me is going to hell, I'm not.

Blazingcatfur –   – (11:25 AM)

OK;) Some if not many Atheists fear Mohammed;)

David Smith –   – (11:41 AM)

It's the forest and the tree thing.

Moray Watson –   – (2:50 PM)

Kurt Westergaard

Richard Dawkins

Theo Van Gogh

Pat Condell

Ayaan Hirsi Ali

Wafa Sultan

Salman Rushdie

Chritopher Hitchens

Geert Wilders (agnostic)

And David, you must be a stump.

RaymondofCanada –   – (2:51 PM)

Thanks, Blazing CatFur. Finally, in this "free speech" country. Look out! What part of religion of peace do we not understand, I wonder?

Moray Watson –   – (2:51 PM)

What's not to fear? I thought the concern was "irrational fear".

What do you want. Reckless stupidity?

Moray Watson –   – (3:01 PM)

I find those who post under aliases and call others cowards to be hypocrites.

Blazingcatfur –   – (3:04 PM)

You can't keep giving in to Islamists.

Moray Watson –   – (4:06 PM)

Neither can you.

Moray Watson –   – (4:09 PM)

Do any of the brave non-atheists here have a name. You know, a real name? Until you start using your real name, stop calling others dhimmis.

Blazingcatfur –   – (4:42 PM)

I don't.

Moray Watson –   – (5:19 PM)

Then why are you "blazing cat fur"?

Blazingcatfur –   – (6:19 PM)

MoraytakeabreatherOK

Blazingcatfur –   – (6:20 PM)

Moray google me it isn't difficult.

perspectives –   – (9:52 PM)

When was the last time your life threatened by radical  Islamists? BCF's has had his life threatened - recently as a matter of fact. How many radical Muslim's  have you confronted and filmed at protests ? Do you have a blog where you bring the atrocities of those who wish to destroy our culture to light  that the MSM will not even report on?

Moray Watson –   – (10:00 PM)

But Arnie says it's not about his safety or his identity. He says that it is not difficult to determine who he is.

By the way, who are you?

Blazingcatfur –   – (10:14 PM)

See? That wasn't hard.

perspectives –   – (10:18 PM)

"but someone like me is going to hell, I'm not." Well your definitely not morally perfect - given the arrogant pride contained in that statement, yet I get what you're trying to say and so does God.  There is a parable about your dilemma Jesus used to answer this very "injustice":

http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Luke+15%3A11-32&version=NIV

Moray Watson –   – (10:19 PM)

I know who you are. My question was why don't you refer to yourself by your name.

Blazingcatfur –   – (10:27 PM)

That's my choice.

Moray Watson –   – (8:19 AM)

I think I've got it now.

The young man, who is the president of a university atheist society makes the "choice" to step down form his position and he, and anyone else who is an atheist, is labelled as  a scurrying coward by those who make the "choice" not to put their names besides their opinions.

Blazingcatfur –   – (10:16 AM)

Moray, atheists as rule are quick to attack believers with one exception - Islam, for the most part they are cowards. Suck it up.

Moray Watson –   – (7:06 PM)

I don't blame you for your being upset with the pathetic response from Adam Walker. It is pathetic.

But Adam Walker is just one person, who is an atheist who heads up something that calls itself a "national association". So what?

Atheism does not equate to a political stance, because theism is not about politics. It is about faith. Therefore you err each time you generalize about the politics of atheists.

Christianity is not about politics (at least not any more) it is about faith.

Islam however is fundamentally about politics; the politics of totalitarianism.

And that is why I don't have fear of Christianity, but do have a profound  fear of islam.  Because I love freedom.

And because I understand islam, I know that every one who professes to be muslim is a contributor to the totalitarian ambitions of islam. And therefore, unfortunately every muslim is a potential danger to those who love freedom.

There was a good article in yesterdays National Post that posited that  cowardice is failing to act in the face of one's fears. Not all will have the same fears, and not all will take the same actions. But we must all act in the face of the fear that is islam. And I believe that the more openly we act, the less we will fear, and the freer we will be.

Take care Arnie.

Ty for this comment, Moray Watson :3  This Moslem/Islam carnival has already jumped the shark, and I've only been perusing this place for a miniscule amount of time.  Again Morary Watson, thank you for this comment.

Blazingcatfur –   – (10:32 PM)

Take care Moray.

That's True Who;)

Anyone can put any old name on a post - Cara Williams or Tim Stevens, yet there is really no-way to verify whether the name is real or not most names are not all that unique, take Jones or Smith. Unless one posts their address or telephone number, city etc. even real names can be fake.
