BBC Fires radio host for "racism" Note that Asian is the common term for muslims in the UK.
For some reason Muslims get upset when they're the alleged victims of discrimination, meanwhile Daniel Pipes has a good round up of the on-going Taxi Jihad. Why is "accomodation" always a one way street with multicultists?
"Bruce Gilmour, a blind man from the North Shore of Vancouver, British Columbia, has filed a case with the B.C. Human Rights Tribunal after a driver, Behzad Saidy, refused to let his guide dog into his North Shore taxi in January 2006. Gilmour complains that North Shore taxi discriminated against him on the basis of his physical disability. Saidy responds that his Muslim beliefs do not permit him to take dogs in his taxi. North Shore Taxi filed a document with the Human Rights Tribunal stating that about half of its drivers are "unable to take animals in their taxis due to medical or religious reasons."
NB: This case was settled between Gilmour and the Taxi Company & The Islamist - the settlement required that Gilmour be required to wait until a non-jihadi taxi driver could be found every time he wanted a taxi.
I must say that was really stupid of her.
Yeah, not sure how I feel about this one. You can't issue a blanket ban on all non-english drivers, simply because you want to protect your daughter.
I understand that she's uncomfortable with sending her daughter out in a taxi with a potential muslim groomer.
But the problem is that asian in the UK refers to subcontinentals. Technically, I'm a subcontinental--if I were living there. that's not cool to lump us all together.
But hey, what the hell do I know. She's a white brit, it's her country, all others are foreigners. As the great hodgetwins say, "She can do whatever the f%ck she wants to do!"

These seem like reasonable consumer requests. Surely someone is prepared to offer these services if they are in demand.
with the amount of child grooming thats rampant in parts of the U.K .She may have a valid concern, albeit.I wouldnt even think taxi.. Get your daughter there by any other means and for go the phone call. the UK has fallen under the PC burgades spell

Ms. Gilmour's concern about having a non-English (_de souche_) taxi driver pick up her daughter was not irrational racism: the kidnapping, gang rape, and subsequent pimping of degraded young English girls who are held in infra-human sexual slavery is not a trivial concern in modern Britain. It has happened to thousands of young-adolescent girls, at the hands of . . . "Asians." Even the authorities have, at long last, had to acknowledge the facts; you may easily find them online, using a search engine.
Let's face it, crime is not evenly distributed among all demographics, anywhere, and white women/girls are particularly likely to be targeted by certain groups. When I worked as a home-health physical therapist in a Southern U. S. metropolis, I was often sent outside my normal territory into areas of the city where women would not have been safe, even during daylight hours, to cover home visits for female therapists who were--quite rationally--scared to go. (And not just white female therapists: black female therapists often would not go into these areas either.)
All but the most fanatical devotee of multiculturalism draws the line where her children's safety is concerned.
Actually I know for a fact this goes on in Toronto, you just tell them you are carrying a dog and or liquor.
No you can't I am not condoning her actions only pointing to the obvious disparity in "accomodation".
Let's not forget about the new German "Muslim Only Cab Service" or the Muslim swim times etc etc etc.
I agree these are not irrational fears.
Now, that is clever. And it's a good strategy too. We had a problem over here with the somali cab drivers refusing to take fares with dogs or liquor.
But I'm almost positive that the sniveling wench dispatcher that we heard in the vid, would be on to that game pretty quickly. Then it would just become the new code for, "hey, don't send me a muslim driver."
"Oh, btw, my daughter will be carrying a bottle of wine, so.................Ya know."
I think the happy medium is honesty. If she got on the phone and said, "Hello, I'd like a taxi for my white, 14-year old daughter. I don't want the driver to kidnap her and sell her into white slavery in the Sudan or Djibouti. And I don't want the driver to sexually assault her. Because I know a lot these cab drivers are involved in that kind of racket. Thanks and Cheerio!"
What's the status on the Somali cab situation in Minni JZ? We're they finally over ruled or were the muslims accomodated?
"Asian" is code in the UK for Muslim, it's PC thing.
I guess the woman should have travelled with her daughter in the taxi. There is a reason women are not allowed out alone in Muslim countries. It is because a woman out alone is apparently considered fair game by some Muslim men. Now there are so many Muslims in the UK that it is unsafe to let teenage girls there travel alone in some cases. Welcome to the new multi culti hell.
She didn't want a Paki driving her daughter's taxi because she wanted to reduce the odds that the taxi driver would rape her daughter.
Considering that the UK has removed all legal means for a woman to defend herself, what else is she to do?

Sad that we lack the balls to tell newcomers this is the way it is here with dogs, liquor and women. Accept it or find a job that doesn't conflict with the 7th century. If that's too much intolerance for a colonizing creed of deception and war to handle, er, Islam, then leave.

The Beeb woman was an absolute idiot to make such a statement on tape; assuming she's a well-connected lefty - and she is, since she worked at the BBC - then she was playing the typical "for thee but not for me" game, and I don't have much sympathy. One thing about taxi drivers in the U.K. - notoriously, in many cities, they act as enforcers; e.g., they'll help track down girls who make a run for it. (Muslim women can't just go to a women's shelter, they have to go to a women's shelter at least 100 miles away.) This can't have been an issue for Mason's daughter, though, obviously. In fact Mason doesn't seem to have been concerned with Muslims, per se, because she mentioned men wearing turbans, i.e. Sikhs. Hell, even I think she's just a racist, and I rarely even bother with the concept any more. Any bets on whether she a)opposes private schools and b)sends Sophie [I assume that's the 14-year-old's name] to one.
