Happy Valentines Day Jason Kenney! Islamofascist Palestine House Defunded!

As readers have suggested write Jason Kenney and thank him - jason.kenney@parl.gc.ca

NB: this is the Pallie House Press Release announcing their long anticipated de-funding

Minister Jason Kenney Decides to Stop Funding for a Settlement Program Administered by Palestine House

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Feb. 14, 2012) - Earlier this month, Mr. Jason Kenney, Minister of Citizenship, Immigration, and Multiculturalism, decided not to renew a contribution agreement between Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) and Palestine House Cultural and Educational Centre (Palestine House). As a result Palestine House will no longer provide settlement services or language instruction to newcomer Canadians. Mr. Kenny did not provide any convincing explanation for his decision.

No convincing explanation you Islamofascist scumbags?

Then Start Reading RIGHT HERE.

As Sassy notes much is owed to the efforts of the JDL, fellow bloggers and those who work silently behind the scenes.

Examples of Anti-Semitic Advocacy Associated with Palestine House

1. Rashad Saleh, former President of Palestine House, compared former
Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak to Hitler as he urged on a crowd of protesters chanting “death to Jews” at a 2000 rally. In 2002, Rashed Saleh seemed to dispute the historical validity of the Holocaust. While speaking to CFRB radio he referred to a “so-called” Holocaust. He also compared Israeli government to the Nazi regime by saying “Israelis are engaging in atrocities similar to the one that Hitler has made.”

2. Adam Hanieh and Rafeef Ziadah, both former Palestine House board members, are members of the Coalition Against Israeli Apartheid (CAIA) and CUPE, and were instrumental in advocating in favour of CUPE Ontario's May 2006 anti-Israel boycott resolutions. Ziadah accuses Israel of ethnic cleansing, apartheid, and calls for the full return of Palestinian refugees and their descendants to Israel. See: http://www.thestar.com/article/591429, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2mivJjLE7e8, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5i3NFNsX11w

3. Addressing a 2006 Rally in Toronto condemning Israeli self-defense against Hezbollah attacks, former Palestine House President and current board member Elias Hazineh saluted Hezbollah and Hamas, both listed as terrorist entities in Canada.

4. Following a successful “Land Day” in March 2007, Palestine House published this statement supporting the actions of “martyrs” against “the Israeli Apartheid regime” on their website:

“As the Israeli Apartheid regime continues to steal the lands, properties and lives of the Palestinian people, and intensifies its aggression against neighboring Arab states, it is increasingly imperative that Palestinian and Arab people all over the world hold remain steadfast in demanding the liberation of the Palestinian people, the return of the Palestinian refugees, and the return of stolen Arab land to its rightful owners. The success of events like this year’s land day celebration shows that these demands are not mere utopian dreams, and that the lives of our martyrs have not been given in vain.”

[See WayBackMachine of PalestineHouse.com on April 2007]

4. In June 2007, Palestine House began calling for a boycott/picket campaign against Chapters Indigo “to demand an end to Canadian ties with Israeli apartheid”.

5. A Palestine House event in October 2007 titled “Palestine: The Canadian Connection in the Current Crisis”, was promoted on their website with the following statement in support of Hamas, a listed terrorist entity in Canada:

“Stephen Harper's Tory government shamefully led the international
community in imposing a siege on the Palestinian people for exercising their democracy under Israeli occupation, the first time in human history that sanctions have been imposed on a people under occupation. Since then, the US,EU, Canada and Israel have worked to bolster the regime of Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen) as he works to negotiate away the historic rights of the Palestinian people to the delight of the Israeli apartheid regime.”

6. On 28 October 2007, Palestine House signed on to the “Hamilton Declaration”, an open letter to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas denouncing the Annapolis peace negotiations ,rejecting the two state solution, and opposing the existence of Israel as a Jewish state:

“It is our belief that the purpose of the Annapolis round of negotiations is to extract further critical concessions from the Palestinians while further delaying final status agreements. In particular, we believe that Israel will attempt to redefine the conflict with the Palestinians as being only about ending the occupation of Jerusalem, the West Bank and Gaza, or parts thereof. Such a redefinition leads the Palestinians into the trap of the ‘two-state’ formula which subverts our legitimate rights under international law. We stress that the central issue in the Palestinian conflict with Israel has always been the dispossession of the Palestinian people from their land and property caused by the Zionist ethnic cleansing of 1948 and the Israeli denial to Palestinians of the basic human right to return and to live in peace and security as equal citizens on their land. We further specifically caution you against any recognition of Israel as a “Jewish” state. Such a recognition would give Israel the façade of moral and legal legitimacy while critically compromising the full implementation of the inalienable Palestinian right of return.”

7. Palestine House participated in activities to commemorate 60th anniversary of the “ethnic cleansing of Palestine” in 2008.

“The year 2008 will mark the 60th year since the Nakba, the catastrophe in which Palestine was ethnically cleansed by the Zionist movement for the creation of the Israeli state. Activities will be organized around the world to commemorate the Nakba. In Canada, several organizations have come together to organize the
Nakba-60 activities. One of these is the monthly compilation and distribution of a newsletter with information about the Nakba, Palestinian refugees, and the refugees' right to return to the homes and lands from which they and their parents and grandparents were expelled. The Palestine House Resource Centre will maintain an archive of these newsletters.”

8. In February 2008, Palestine House held an event “In Memory of a National Leader” to “commemorate and honor the life and work of Dr. George Habash, founder of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine,” a listed terrorist entity in Canada which pioneered the hijacking of airplanes as a Middle East terror tactic. Habash was the main leader of the “rejectionist” wing of the Palestinian nationalist movement, insisting that under no circumstances should any negotiations be held with the Israeli state for a peaceful resolution of the conflict. Palestine House posted the following notice on its website following Habash’s death: “With deep sorrow we announce the passing of Dr. George Habash. Palestine House conveys our condolences to Dr. Habash's Family and his comrades in the PFLP and the PLO.”

9. Issam Al-Yamani, former Executive Director of Palestine House, was denied citizenship in Canada and was in process of deportation for over 20 years due to his membership in the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, an organization listed as a terrorist entity in Canada. According to CSIS, Al-Yamani received weapons training and instruction in bomb manufacture in 1977 in Lebanon. At a Palestine House event honouring the founder of the PFLP, George Habash, Al-Yamani spoke “about the importance of upholding [Habash’s] vision and the solution of the PFLP, which calls to establish the Palestinian state on all of Palestine.”

10. In March 2008, Palestine House in partnership with the Canadian Arab Federation and the Canadian Islamic Congress, established an essay contest for Canadian high school and university students on “The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine” with the objective of delegitimizing the existence of Israel:

“Palestine House, the Canadian Arab Federation and the Canadian Islamic Congress jointly announced today an open invitation to all Canadian high school and university students (ages 17 through 27) to take part in an essay contest on the theme; "The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine."

This contest is being held in response to the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the state of Israel within Palestine. Five awards will be given. The first-place prize is $1,000; the second prize $750 and the third to the fifth are $500 each. In addition, all winners will receive a complimentary copy of the book, "The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine" by Israeli historian, Prof. Ilan Pappe.”

11. In May 2008, Palestine House held a rally in Toronto “demanding an end to occupation and Israeli Apartheid”, demonizing and delegitimizing the existence of the Jewish State. “From 1947-1948, over two-thirds of the Palestinian population were driven from their home land. Over 500 Palestinian & neighborhoods were destroyed to make way for the state of Israel. Palestinians call this process of ethnic cleansing, AL-Nakba or "The Catastrophe". Sixty Years later, over 7 million Palestinian refugees are in exile waiting to return home. Millions more live as citizens or under military occupation under conditions akin to South African Apartheid.”

12. In January 2009, Palestine House organized a protest rally in Toronto, characterized by hateful slogans against Israel and Jews, often calling for violence. These chants were shouted from under Hezbollah flags, an organization listed as a terrorist entity in Canada, the US and the EU. At a news conference on January 14, 2009, Canadian Jewish Congress called on the sponsors of these rallies to denounce these horrendously offensive expressions of anti-Semitism. Palestine House did nothing of the sort.

13. Palestine House officially endorses and promotes Israel Apartheid

14. On March 30, 2009 Palestine House hosted the controversial Dr. Ekrema Sabri as the keynote for its “Land Day” event. Sabri, the former Mufti of Jerusalem, delivered a lecture in 2005 criticizing the West for treating men who force their wives to have sex as rapists. See here:

“[In the West] a woman who was rebellious against her husband sued him for sleeping with her against her will. He was treated as a rapist. The husband was considered a rapist and was severely punished. He was punished as a rapist merely because he slept with his wife against her will.”

15. Dr. Sabri is also on record denouncing the right of Israel to exist and his admiration for child “martyrs” in an interview with Al-Ahram in 2000.

"The land of Palestine is not only Jerusalem; this land stretches from the [Jordan] River to the [Mediterranean] Sea. Naturally, the [Palestinian] problem relates to all of this land. We cannot establish a homeland by only liberating Jerusalem. It is true that Salah Al-Din did not rest until Jerusalem was liberated, but this does not suggest that the rest of this blessed land is to be neglected or given up..."

“Yes, it is. It's hard to express it in words. There is no doubt that a child [martyr] suggests that the new generation will carry on the mission with determination. The younger the martyr - the greater and the more I respect him...”

http://www.tidenstecken.se/isrsabri.htm http://www.militantislammonitor.org/article/id/24 http://www.hcs.harvard.edu/~hireview/content.php?type=article&issue=summer03/&name=martyrdom

16. In response to a release by the Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Centre exposing Dr. Sabri’s appalling positions, Palestine House issued the following statement dismissing the legitimate concerns of a Canadian human rights organization as the “foreign interests of the State of Israel”:

“Voices out of touch with Canadian values have attempted to smear Palestine House and the religious leaders from Jerusalem for advocating for racial and religious equality -- values that are enshrined in Canada's Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Regrettably, The Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center… attacks completely disregard core Canadian principles of tolerance, equality, freedom of speech and a right to share a diversity of views and thoughts.”

“The narrow interests being defended by FSWC… are the foreign interests of the State of Israel to continue a policy of ethnic and religious discrimination.”

17. Hazem Jamjoum, a former Palestine House board member (http://theagenda.tvo.org/guest/155313/Hazem-Jamjoum) , is communications officer at Badil, a member organization of the Global Palestine Right-of-Return Coalition, BDS Campaign National Committee, and al-Awda Right-to-Return Coalition. He is editor of Al-Majdal magazine which promotes boycott, divestment, and sanctions directed at Israel (http://www.badil.org/en/component/k2/itemlist/user/67-hazemjamjoum ): . In April 2009, Jamjoum wrote an article titled “Not an Analogy: Israel and the Crimes of Apartheid” (http://electronicintifada.net/content/not-analogy-israel-and-crime-apartheid/8164) , and has also written that “compromise on what was occupied of Palestine in 1948, on the release of our prisoners, and on the return of the refugees would be an insult at least as much to our martyrs and ancestors as it would be to the living.”

18. Palestine House was at the forefront of the campaign in April 2009 to boycott the Dead Sea Scrolls at the Royal Ontario Museum in an attempt to delegitimize the Jewish connection to Israel and bolster the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions movement. (www.palestinehouse.com/documents/RoyalOntarioMuseum.doc)

19. In September 2009, at the Al Quds Day Protest in Toronto, a small crowd gathered at Queen’s Park where the need “to remain united against this cancerous land in our society [Israel]” was discussed. Palestine House President Dr. Farid Ayyad addressed the crowd claiming that “today they [Israel, the Jews] are erasing, they are trying to erase Al-Aqsa Mosque, and this is not only related to the Palestinians, this is for all Muslims.” It was false and irresponsible claims such as this that incited the second intifada in 2000, unleashing an unprecedented wave of terrorist attacks against innocent Israeli civilians.

20. On March 27, 2010 Palestine House hosted another Land Day commemoration. That year’s keynote speaker was Abdul Bari Atwan, editor of al-Quds al-Arabi Newspaper, known for making the following statement in 2007 about the nuclear destruction of Israel:

“Allah willing, [Iran] will attack Israel as well. If the Iranian
missiles strike Israel – by Allah, I will go to Trafalgar Square, and
dance with delight if the Iranian missiles strike Israel.”

The Palestine House website still maintains a link to the al-Quds al Arabi website.

Robert McCall –   – (12:16 PM)

I think Jason Kenney is bi-polar. He'll do something like this and then turn right around and decide to increase refugee quotas by 20%. WTF?

Vardit –   – (12:20 PM)

Thank you, thank you, Mr. Kenney!  Happy feet are dancing with this news!!!!

Blazingcatfur –   – (12:21 PM)

Today he deserves nothing but praise!

Canuckistan666 –   – (12:21 PM)

Thanks BCF for making my day!  Almost as good as a kiss from my sweetheart on Valentine's Day.

Micheal Bishop –   – (12:23 PM)

This is good news.  The bad news is that legislation to allow police to monitor peoples internet use without a warrant has been tabled.

Blazingcatfur –   – (12:24 PM)

Give him one anyway;)

Blazingcatfur –   – (12:24 PM)

He deserves our thanks.

marco –   – (12:25 PM)

BTW I dunno if it's colder than usual or what, but the pallie scarves are out in force this week on campus.

Blazingcatfur –   – (12:29 PM)

That is bad news, Bill C-51 is very dangerous.

Blazingcatfur –   – (12:30 PM)

IAW week is about to crank up is it not?

Richard Klagsbrun  – (12:32 PM)

But where will the 300 people who used it as their address live now? The bathroom lineup in the morning must have been a b*tch.

SDMatt2a –   – (12:33 PM)

Yes, when this was being discussed this morning on the radio I couldn't help but think that there are so many creeps who do their work in plain sight - why not go after them before leaning on the rights of the ordinary Joe.

And now I find that Kenney has done just that. Bravo to him, nuts to C-51.

Ann –   – (12:39 PM)

Some how in the Palestine House press release, it didn't mention that really big occupying Palestinian community housing project within its structure, that featured  residents having the same  mailing address. It must be one big huge Palestinian settlement house.

Blazingcatfur –   – (12:42 PM)

What Radio station was it on?

Micheal Bishop –   – (12:42 PM)

I dare say much more dangerous than most people realize.  If this goes through, I'd be willing to bet that the Caledonia 8 will be among the first to be zealously surveilled, and anyone else who runs afoul of the beaurocracy that passes for law enforcement in this country.  And that's just the tip of the iceberg.

Blazingcatfur –   – (12:42 PM)

Canuckistan666 –   – (12:42 PM)

Please thank Jason Kenney at:  jason.kenney@parl.gc.ca

Blazingcatfur –   – (12:42 PM)

The Biggest!

sanwin –   – (12:45 PM)

I just pee'd my pants.

With joy.

Tabernac –   – (12:53 PM)

Best news I've heard in a long time .Made my day.

Scaramouche  – (12:57 PM)

It's hard to see how a Conservative government that is Israel's most supportive friend could in good conscience continue to provide funding for an eliminationist outfit whose logo is a be-chequered map of Israel plus Gaza plus the West Bank (i.e. what they consider to be "Palestine") and whose motto is"We Shall Return."

It took a while, but a grievous wrong has not been corrected.

Scaramouche –   – (12:58 PM)

Ooops! Make that "...has NOW been corrected."

Rotterdam –   – (1:03 PM)

Let them get funding from Justin Trudeau.

Micheal Bishop –   – (1:11 PM)

Just heard Vic Toews talk about it, seems the legislation is also anti-competitive, as small ISP re-seller outfits simply do not have the resources to comply with this law.  He even said "Either you are for this legislation, or you are for child pornography."  Goebbels would be impressed.

JustMe –   – (1:11 PM)

Why is it that all these "new immigrants and not so new immigrants" always need ESL programs? Shouldn't there be a minimum immigration requirement to have more than 10 words of spoken/broken English before being admitted to Canada or French only if they settle in Quebec? I advocate eliminating "refugee" immigration classification completely since they don't need any qualifiers at all to enter Canada. How do these new anti-Semitic  Cdns. think huge parts of Montreal and Toronto were developed, esp. after WW2?  Perhaps in the "immigration guide" it needs to be stated: Israel and Canada are allies and Canada supports Israel. The Jews in Canada are welcomed and are here to stay. Any newcomers who don't like it should return to their own hellholes.

Daniel9vs2 –   – (1:15 PM)

I see there asking the public to contact there Mps to send a message.. and will the HRC be at the ready.. is it final ..I mean this seems to good to be true

JustMe –   – (1:15 PM)

Wow, your head hasn't been totally corrupted yet on campus - going your posts on this blog? lol

Daniel9vs2 –   – (1:18 PM)

yeah this  was mad.. why did they take so long

John –   – (1:19 PM)

Great News!

Now if we could just cease all aid to various islamic hellholes like Pakistan and "Arab Spring" egypt etc.

Blazingcatfur –   – (1:35 PM)

That will be the icing on the cake.

Blazingcatfur –   – (1:36 PM)

One thing at a time I guess.

Blazingcatfur –   – (1:36 PM)

It's final. Pallie House is a Hell Hole.

Blazingcatfur –   – (1:38 PM)

A dream come true - the whole ESL/Settlement stuff is just ethnic vote buying.

Blazingcatfur –   – (1:39 PM)

Did he really say that? Verbatim?

Blazingcatfur –   – (1:40 PM)

Ha! He can do it in his new Shiny Pony Country.

Blazingcatfur –   – (1:40 PM)

Mine too!

Blazingcatfur –   – (1:42 PM)

Ha! I don't blame you!

Micheal Bishop –   – (1:42 PM)

yes, as far as I can recall,  verbatim from question period yesterday.  Today, he said "The current legislation allows organized crime and child pornography to flourish."

Blazingcatfur –   – (1:42 PM)

Good idea. Canuck.

Blazingcatfur –   – (1:44 PM)

It is dangerous for that very reason, we have seen the Police used for political ends first hand.

Vardit –   – (1:46 PM)

That was the first thing I did after reading your post!  We must write letters of thanks.

Alain –   – (1:51 PM)

Claiming that he did not provide any convincing reason for this move takes the cake.  Frankly he does NOT need to provide any reason, since government funding is not an entitlement.

Micheal Bishop –   – (1:52 PM)

it was "You can either stand with us or with the child pornographers."

Daniel9vs2 –   – (1:58 PM)

nicely stated

sanwin –   – (1:59 PM)

There is. When I cam here, I had to provide evidence of my proficiency in English. I even had to meet an Immigration officer in London face to face where I had to conduct the interview in English.  Language points are critical if you are to make the required immigration points. I'm not sure how these people who can't string two words together get into this country.

Micheal Bishop –   – (2:03 PM)

When these crazy Imams go on their anti-semitic rants, in clear violation of the Criminal Code of Canada, (318,319(1)), why are they not arrested?  Why doesn't some JDL guy film it, and demand charges be laid?

moraywatson –   – (2:22 PM)

moraywatson –   – (2:25 PM)

But we were paying them the jizya. It is their right to receive the jizya. Wait until allah finds out we stopped.

SDMatt2a –   – (2:36 PM)

John Oakley, AM 640

Micheal Bishop –   – (2:43 PM)

Also, it will force Telco's to build the surveillance infrastructure, once that is done, and there are no economic barriers to Telco's releasing info, we're screwed, whether the law gets repealed or not.

Micheal Bishop –   – (2:49 PM)

It's a sad state of affairs when we're grateful for crumbs.  While this move is laudable, it is just a drop in the bucket of what needs to be done, meanwhile the government is pushing ahead with draconian internet surveillance laws,  the unintended consequences of which will cost an awful lot, not to mention the abuse that will stem from it.

Anne_from_Victoria –   – (3:06 PM)

Congratulations to all who worked for this.

Micheal Bishop –   – (3:15 PM)

Also in breaking news, Ontario judge defies mandatory minimum for gun 'crime'.  Here the crime was taking a Facebook photo.  As I see it, no crime was committed, but that's just me.

The comments there speak for themselves, with all these idiots arguing about whether it was registered or not, not to mention he seems to have been in the home of a law-abiding gun owner, and the cops kicked the door down anyway.

As far as I'm concerned, keeping a .32 in your night table is not a crime, despite the fact that .32 caliber is prohibited here in Canada.

IMHO the 'conservatives' are just the lesser of 3+ evils.

Blazingcatfur –   – (3:16 PM)

Much gratitude to everyone who blogged, wrote their MP and Kenney etc.

dogwonder –   – (3:17 PM)

Blazingcatfur –   – (3:30 PM)

I will post on C-51

That is ugly.

I know you will, and my apologies for going so far off-topic.  You are a beacon for freedom, and I urge all the regulars and other like minded people to donate to your cause at the "Feed the Kitty" link.  You rock.

Blazingcatfur –   – (4:00 PM)

Well it is happy news;)

JR  – (4:20 PM)

Good on Jason!
(1) What took so long?
(2) Only "defunded"? With that list you'd think the criminal code might have come into play.
(3) Where are Richard Warman and the CJC?

Blazingcatfur –   – (4:22 PM)

And that's only a partial list!

chaos111_99 –   – (4:43 PM)

That's Harper, all smoke and mirrors, bring something good to divert from bringing in something worse.

Micheal Bishop –   – (4:46 PM)

Harper is better than the other 2 big parties.  The libertarians are full of crap too.

Morticiaaddams –   – (5:04 PM)

Done, but yes, I do agree they need to do something about the immigrant and refugee quotas, they are being pressured by corporations to have a larger pool of workers so they can keep costs down, and the false paradigm they are attempting to brainwash the masses with, is that we need more people to make up the amounts of money needed for seniors....what utter rubbish, so Robert McCall, yes, most of the think tanks on immigration and refugees understand that we must cut cut cut cut cut cut the numbers of new Canadians down and reduce spending in this area by billions

Micheal Bishop –   – (5:30 PM)

If the corporations were running things, there would be no immigrants on social welfare programs!

Dodoforever Canspell –   – (6:01 PM)

Wow ... that's telling them !!!

But, Jason Kenney will not get a Valentine from moi until the day he and the Federal govt. decides to stop importing muslim immigrants.

Osumashi Kinyobe  – (6:49 PM)

God bless us, everyone!

Well said. Jason did better than Shiny Pony Justin would ever do.

Asha –   – (9:58 PM)

Yes indeed, Amen.

Asha –   – (10:00 PM)

Amen Sister. I echo your sentiments exactly!

Do you remember when Palestine House used their business description on Google to call Meir Weinstein a war criminal? Well, in the screenshot of the current listing I just took, he is linked to the Israeli apartheid:

By Kawther Salam

"Seven women were killed in the Palestinian territories because of "honor
killings” in the first month of the year 2010. These news were released by
Palestinian human rights organizations interested in women's issues, but
according to my sources, this statistic was falsified and the real number of
women who were murdered, only in the cities of Ramallah and Hebron since the
beginning of the year 2010 has exceeded 13. The sources confirm that these seven
women, who were registered in the statistics of human rights organizations as
victims of "honor killing”, were left in public streets and in fields after
being killed "

In memory of the Shafia victims!
