"Lefties hated Breitbart to no small degree because he looked like he could have been one of them. They love to stereotype us as portly middle-aged midwesterners with our guns, trucks and Jesus talk, and Breitbart went out to meet them looking like their neighbour, their buddy from college or their kid's college professor. (It helped that he was, by his own admission, a former liberal.) The video of him rollerblading around a bunch of bellowing protestors, taunting them, put the lie to their cherished fantasies of conservatives as dumb and slow.
Frum looked at Breitbart and saw everything he could have been but wasn't - original, inspired, truly enraged, and able to galvanize people to him in ways that Frum never managed. He came and accomplished more in a few years than Frum has in his whole career as a self-appointed "conservative spokesman." Who only liberals read." Rick McGinnis
