The MSM At Work: Religious Activism? Preaching? Oh! That's What They're Calling Extremist Islamist Views Nowadays!

Both of these stories, covering the same incident, are from CTV Atlantic. It's a story of Father & Son togetherness, Jihad Style. Jaan Islam and his father Dr. Rafiq Islam have been banned from the Maritime Muslim Academy and it's mosque because young Jaan was preaching Islam at the school, evidently per his father's instruction.

Note the benign headlines, "preaching", "religious activism", sounds pretty mild to me.

Note also that the stories only vaguely reference the nature of Jaan Islam's extremist views:

"He's basically campaigning issues, like against Zionism, issues against September 11 and the Taliban, Bin Laden, and all these issues"

The boy's father Dr. Rafiq Islam is on the Board of Contributors of Mohamed Elmasry's Canadian Charger. That's loonie-toon street cred right there.

The Maritime Muslim Academy has received significant funding from the both the Federal and Nova Scotia governments. Jamal Badawi is called upon to explain the harmeless nature of Jihad in the clip. Jamal Badawi sits on the Board of the Muslim Maritime Academy, he also sits on the board of CAIR-CAN. Jamal Badawi was named as a person of interest in the Holy Land Terror Financing Trial and is a significant member of the Muslim Brotherhood.
