Disgraceful Protest At Toronto's Remembrance Day Services
Remembrance Day protest an insult to Canada's war dead
The presence of Taliban sympathizers at a protest at the 2012 Remembrance Day ceremony in Toronto was first mentioned by the Toronto Sun on November 13 2012. Blazingcatfur acknowledges that the two women mentioned as being part of this disgraceful protest were not in fact Taliban supporters.

Statement of Laila Rashidie and Suraia Sahar: We have been accused of interrupting the moment of silence during the Remembrance Day Ceremony on November 11 2012, of chanting obscenities, and of vandalizing the War Memorial. We have been accused of supporting the Taliban's position and of being Islamist/Jihadists. These accusations are not true.
