Blood Libel Hits Toronto

For Immediate Release, Toronto, January 14, 2013

B’nai Brith Canada has alerted police to a protest planned tonight in Vaughan, Ontario. The Jewish human rights organization has warned that the inflammatory rhetoric on the promotional flyer blaming a "Zionist Plot" for recent sectarian violence in Pakistan has the potential to incite hatred and spark violence against the Jewish community in Canada.

Frank Dimant, CEO of B'nai Brith Canada, issued the following statement: "Unfortunately, the Jewish community is all too used to the dissemination of propaganda that seeks to whip up anti-Israel and anti-Jewish sentiment. But the lurid nature of the flyer for tonight’s event (see attached) amounts to a blood libel that crosses all boundaries.

“This goes well beyond the usual allegations against Jews and Israel for all the ills of world. It is nothing more than an Iranian-inspired attempt to divert attention from the true perpetrators of recent atrocities in Pakistan. Such incitement to hatred has no place on the streets of Canada.”

Hey this sounds familiar! It's not the first time the Shia have spread this Libel.
